after I switched to a 10k MH bulb, no more PM
hell I even had a grow during that huge storm front that CA had last year, and the humidity was like 80% for almost a month straight.
not even a speck of pm
so now I run a 600 10k, and a 600 HPS together
it ain't no joke though, without skin protection you'll feel it.. it burns..
and you want eye protection too.
no joke..

Does it matter on UVA or UVB for this? So one would just run a reptile uv bulb when lights are on in the room? How much uv would be recommended for an 8x8 room? This is interesting - I've never heard of this being effective on PM before this thread so Im completely new to the UV spectrum knowledge.

That's a large area. I would use a 4ft t5 bulb over each 4x4 area. For pm uva works. Agromax makes a uva bulb for a reason. I noticed a bump in potency and frost with it.

You could use agromax pure UV also. It has uva and b. Use it on a separate timer for 15 min on every hour or two.

The 10k uva finishing bulb can run full time.

I also think mixed spectrum weed is better. I have no test to prove it. My own experiments have led me to that conclusion.

I like to keep rh low to. I like to keep it below 50. Mid 40's is where I like to be.

Agreed. I'm running @ 79 degrees & 43% right now. I'm trying to finish some purple OG to free up room in the tent.

So you use horse tail grass tea and regular cleaning and that does it for you? @Dr. Who
How often do you spray for prevention. Have you any experience with something like em1 i think its a lacto bacillus? Seems like it works like the aact. I like the UV addition too for prevention and frostier nugs thanks whitebb2727

When you get an infestation. You control it, till the plants are done. Then clean everything. Then restart, or reload the area.

I do not spray any time to "prevent". If I don't have a problem, I don't treat for it.

Does anyone have any thoughts on their harvest after using Potassium Bicarbonate? I recently had to use it on a plant that was growing into early November. I harvested the first plant of the same strain back in September (not treated with PB) and definitely notice that the harvest treated with PB is way less fragrant. I think I read somewhere that PB nukes terpenes (which would explain the lack of fragrance) but I can't seem to find that thread. I have yet to try it as it's still curing, so can't yet elaborate on the effects. Curious what others' experiences are with PB during flower...
