The fishing thread ( not about fish fertilizer)

Boats are in a state of composting from day one. Doesnt matter what you do.
I am hoping this solid glass hull with composite cores will last long after i am done with it.

I have done a bunch of jobs like yours there.. It is dirty work, but seeing the result of the labor is something
Found out that Home Depot had some really cheap marine carpet that matched the old stuff.

Sweet layup
Thanks!
I really wish i did something else for work. It is very difficult to finish a day at the job and continue doing it after.
I should really be done with all the sidedecks, anchor locker, and engine well at this point. I basically have use of the shop from july to september, but with the working temps that time of year it is tough to keep going.
I really need to get it in my garage at home, and get some shit done

Should try to get this thread back on track though. Picked up a new rod, shortened it up and moved the reel seat a bit.
Hopefully enough to tackle some smaller bluefin on stellwagen next summer.
Shimano tac 12 reel with some 80# braid and 60 mono.

I'm done with wood in my boats! Current (and last) is a 21' x 5' all welded aluminum riverboat with a 60/40 Merc Jet & a Minkota remote controlled GPS 24 v trolling motor. Looking closely you will notice the tunnel forward of the pump uptake, this girl will run on wet grass!

She will out live me.

The jet outboards are a pretty awesome thing.
Theyve started to get them very close to a regular outboards fuel efficiency. Not the jet drives of the past

My hardwater season is shrinking big time. In ny teens we drove out and needed an extension sometimes. Alot of our stuff is still open in the middle and just started seeing guys start to carefully venture onto some spots. 10 yrs ago we were fishing before Christmas every yr 7” in canada end of January seems crazy to me

It's nuts. Should be 14" of ice and it's 7". Lakes not even frozen over just bays etc

Nice looking rig my friend.
How do you like that Tohahtsu? I've not had any experience with them but they seem to be really charging into the small/medium outboard market.

yo gwn,

i had a rope pull, 2 stroke 25 yamaha on her before the tohahtsu.

the electric start and power trim and jack plate makes it alot easier to operate.

but the 25 2 stroke was faster getting on step

all in all its been a great motor, i bought it new and keep the oil changed, should be the last out board i buy.
