Can you dry in a CO2 environment? Seems like you could reduce the oxidation if you dry in an oxygen free atmosphere. I know Matt Rize is doing something different because his IWE is very light colored when it is dried now, and he was getting oxidation darkening before.
Here is what happens with oxidation:

Thanks Frenchy! Will be using a fridge here in a couple days ill try and post my progress on here for everyone to see!A dedicated room with a dehumidifier is all you need, can be done in a fridge as well. You want the room/place to be on the cold side (mid 50s) and around 35 to 40% humidity.
It does not really matter for what you want to use the hash, the flavors and smell are always important
I changed the exhaust pipe because the original tube is collecting tons in every grooves. Thanks Frenchy! Will be using a fridge here in a couple days ill try and post my progress on here for everyone to see!
In your video "Frenchy meets TGA's MickeyKush" I noticed you did some modification to your machine and I beleive I just got the same one! Can you explain why you did these modifications?
Also how much dry hash do you end up with on average in each of the pyrex dishes?
I will not be giving you my opinion about pressing your trichomes, I will give you the opinion of a few thousands years of tradition coming from every producing countries in the world.
You literally activate your THC when you press your trichomes using a source of heat of approx 220F, you also "release" the terpenes from their vegetal membranes as well as lock the smell in the resin mass. Your hashish can be aged for years in good storage conditions, your loose trichomes will loose their potency in a year or so same as the trichomes on your flowers.
It is MANDATORY to press your trichomes if you want to get to its highest potential
This is very interesting after what I just read It is all about 'dacarboxylation' turning all the THC-A into active THC... Funny how we only recently started figuring this out 'scientifically' but it has been done the right way for thousands of years.I cure my hashish between 4 to 8 weeks in the same conditions that you would your flowers. I do not know anybody doing the same so the "Why" behind curing ice water extracted hashish is totally personal and not yet checked scientifically.
My main reason is to make sure that no humidity is left inside the pressed resin. However I also purposefully leave a small amount of humidity in my Hashish to change the structure of my resin from sticky to waxy, tricky because you are playing not with fire but with mold your ultimate enemy.
Thank you very much!! I had a great teacher show me how kiss-assButchy Boy I like what you do, gorgeous color and good press. What is the strain???
