I got a panda wash machine for about $80 on ebay. I haven't tested it yet but I filled it up with water and ran it through. My first impressions are good, it seemed to be working. We'll see when I fill it up with ice and bud.
This what I use and it works great!

Hey guys, im a new reader of this forum and thought i would say hi.
Awesome info, thanks to all for input.
Last season i purchased a washing machine and cheap set of ebay bags. I must say i was pretty impressed with the results. The strain was GSC xtreme, the quality that went in was lacking, the quality out was better than i had hoped for. Ran the 220 catch bag and the 160,45,25. Watched Frenchy's youtube demo multiple times leading up to the day, and tried to replicate.
Pressed the water from my separate patties and let sit for an hour before cutting by razor. Let it all sit for a week before tasting, and sure enough it had darkened considerably. Smell, taste and effect were all on point. I split the batch and gave half to a mate who told me of this "Frenchy Cannoli" fellow and his washing machine, and i managed to let my half cure for a few months before combining the separations and rolling a little black marble. That was awhile back now, and that little marble is not much longer for this world. Just waiting for the right moment, the right company.
Thanks again for forum contributions, i read about the first 40 pages, and the last 30 or so. All i can say is that those of you who are able to grow legally are certainly blessed.
Im off to try sort through the other 180 odd pages!

Multiple times i have read here "not to skimp on tools". This leads me to a question.
Has anyone here tried using laboratory/analytical sieves?

I have quite an extensive background in sizing separation, and have been picking up these babies whenever i find a good deal online. Current sieve stack is as follows: 212, 90, 50 and 32.
I figure if i can pickup a 180 or 160 and a 25, my collection will probably be complete.
These are all brand new in box except for the 90 which made some insane dry ice kif. This was of course before i had learnt of ice water extraction.
Well, im off to curl up wth a good book, and yes...it is as good as you have heard!Retsch test sieves.png GBH.jpg

Where did you find the book?
I first bought a copy of the book at a market in Fremantle in the mid 90's. Im pretty sure i paid $80 Aus for it new. It has been my go to ever since. The copy in the picture, i recently purchased online as a kind of investment. it is a first edition(1979) and i located it in england, great condition.
I would love to read any of the other volumes, must keep an eye out.
Mo, the contributions you have made to this thread are awesome. I may be re-hashing over old ground here when i ask if you have favoured strains/breeders?
