You want to use a 1/8 to 1/4 strength mix for seelings.Cool no problem, i will maybe invest in some grow, i am just about to plant my seedlings in 16oz cups. Do i start of using full strength lucas formula 0-5-10 on my seedlings or do i cut it down a bit?
Thanks again
no shit!the properties inside the ph down will used continually cause ionic bonds to potassium an making harder for the plants to uptake....when mixing you mix the micro first then bloom after about 30min to an hour you'll see the mix has settled around 5.7-5.9....az
I have found that all of you PH nighmares can be alleviated by simply doing the followingno shit!
thats crazy i would have never guessed it would work like that, thanks, sorry to keep hounding you with question after question, seems like the more i ask in 1 post the harder it is to get em all answered but i understand why, one last thing about this ph stuff sorry, once i let it settle and assuming it is what it should be like u say, then i just leave it? no need to up it? its just cause i know cal mag and p all get absorbed a little better at like 6.5-7 so shouldnt i aim to have it in those ranges while its showing deficiencys in those things? i know going too high for too long wont be good for the lesser nutes it needs like boron and all that crap which come in at like 5-5.5, i guess thats why youre telling me to just leave it near 6 and it's like the happy medium for everything.. even if theyre deficient? and hopefully im done bugging u for a bit and they heal up quick , thanks again dude
i can defently co-sign to this statement....azdepending on your local water and if its treated with chlorine or chloramine it will never reach a desirable ph and often will have a ph of over 7.8 and a ppm of 200 to 350ppm. so if you have tap with similar parameters the only real solution is another water source such as ro or distilled. this is one of the best things to do for your plants. even with use of ph down there will be ph rebound if you have many buffers in your tap which most do. save yourself the trouble and use a more pure water source you wil not be dissapointed peace.
I am always amazed at the root structure in the cup when upgrading to the final bucket.
im sure what you saw was someone saying till water comes out the hole located on the side 2inches from the bottom......in all the buckets i've done..not one had root rot....done right hempys will never cause rot.....as your constantly adding fresh water an o2 almost daily....the water"sitting" at the bottom gets used quickly an is replenished with new fresh water.....azI remember hearing someone at the beginning of this forum state that they water until they see a little run over out of the bucket..
I thought leaving roots dangle in sitting water was a (BAD THING) that will lead to root rot..
Can anyone comment?
thanx
Hey Az, heres some pics as promised bro.. my first attempt at a hempy. Pics of hempy with seedlings about 2 n a half weeks old. They were in a soil puck, i then planted the pucks into 16oz cups n coverd with 100% perlite. this is my first ever attempt at any type of grow from scratch!ime i've found that 0-5-8 works best for veg as some plants are nute sensitive....but other than that your getting the idea babygreen...az
Alright guys, I tired to upload a few pics of my hempys but it wouldnt let me for some reason...Only letting me put one on at a time?..View attachment 558409

Any help, advice, criticism is all welcome
Those plants look like they are reaching for light bad! You need to lower your lights to within just a few inches of the plants if your using florescent lights. If they get too long like that they will fall over.Alright guys, I tired to upload a few pics of my hempys but it wouldnt let me for some reason...Only letting me put one on at a time?..
