That's 6wks on the calendar and gnats are still hatching?

I re potted this on sat/sun and today there's a damn gnat in the bag?

I'm 99% certain there's been no gnats in/around the plants I've been absolutely thorough, even if i did miss them they wouldn't be able to squeeze in there and they'd have no desire to, I know it's odds with Google but that's 6+ weeks, I've also had a bag sealed up for weeks that's confirmation of 6wks!!

Any chance there getting in from outside or nah ? Well it's not great but it works all I do if I got em and can't shake em if I in veg is crank the heat up let the medium dry to help fuck with there lifecycle plants suffer a bit but they bounce back fine it's saved me from chucking the dirt a few times

Hey bud, I can't rule that out 100% but i don't think so I'm 99.9% sure.

I've been on high alert for weeks now I think I'd have seen them, I've also another bag @6wks with coco pouches that's wound tightly with wire and hung over the bars, it's not possible they could get in there and it had gnats hatching last week.

Idk what their ideal temps are but I was reading on a website about gnats cycle taking 4/5wks when it's colder that's inline with what I'm finding?
I'm still hopeful of eradicating them fingers crossed.

If you're potting up and getting gnats I reckon your medium got them in it .... I've had bugs from buying a bag of soil before might be the case with yours

Hey bud, I can't rule that out absolutely but I've looked closely in the coco bag on 3 occasions and seen nothing however in the interest of thoroughness last week i put some of the new coco in a bag to see, I've not seen anything yet tbh i think its too dry to attract anything but I wouldn't rule it out.

To avoid doubt I put old infected pouches inside a clear bag 6+ week's ago and twisted wire tightly around to seal it, it's not been opened at all and gnats are still hatching last week.

I'm finding gnats last much longer than google suggest.

It's physically impossible to get in/out that pot without removing the actual pot from the tub.

I've used omega hps since they first came on the market, I had loads of mates telling me they were shite when I first got them cos they were Chinese, I've still got a magnetic ballast going strong 10+ years later haha. I'm gonna get 4 1k fixtures for my 3x3, the 600 seems the best bang for the buck though and I would get 6 of those if the footprint was more practical for my needs. Are there many red diodes in the fixture? I love my hlg Diablos but they're just so expensive for what they are it makes scaling up extremely pricey.
That's the spread of diodes from underneath by my count there is a red diode for every 12 white diode great light tho
