Justice is a perception-based judgment that is supposed to 'offset' or otherwise 'fix / smooth over' what had occurred. Clearly defined by a judge being able to have almost identical, or identical cases.. but giving 2 different sentences - or in terms of punitive damages, different amounts of money paid. That said, the likelihood of irreparable mental scars from rape incidence-wise is quite high. How does one determine justice at that point? If it were your daughter, and you knew you'd raised her properly and she got raped.. would some guy behind bars for 6 months be enough for you to say that it was 'fair', or that everything is just fine? What if it was a murder trial instead, and the jury decided that the attacker was not guilty, even though there was more than enough evidence to demonstrate that he was? Is that something that would just be let go? Not many usually agree with my thoughts on justice, what is fair, and how things could be handled. I fully understand that, and don't expect them to do so as everyone has their own thoughts - that's part of what makes us human, and not androids with a centralized brain.
