I disagree on the BOO vs Chemboo note ... nothing wrong with starting the stash with a classic... and BOO is well on its way to being just that.

And on the trainwreck note ... I never let freebies determine my selection, 3 beans often isn't enough...the number of times I've grown out my freebies and been like, damn I wish I had more of those ... plus the Arcata Trainwreck is one of the Twenty20 Mendo packs that may have the golden ticket!

Try the seed cellar. They're American and carry some impressive genetics.

@Useful Seeds has been my #1 recommendation for years on any one of these threads asking "who to get".
Rarely do I run a strain twice, but some of his strains are just too damn good to not run again. On top of being a top notch breeder, hes a top notch person. Who else reps other breeders as hard as he does...that speaks volumes about his character. I recommend "Bag of Oranges" fems and "Chocolate Diesel" fem (Choc Diesel now available in F3 regs for those hunting a good male). High quality genetics without beating up your wallet.

How you like "blueberries n chocolate"? (Chocolate covered Blueberries would have been a better name.) I plan to run that one sometime in the next year.

Still haven't popped my useful seeds. I can confirm bodhi, csi, heisenbeans (original testers), delicious seeds, katsu, hazeman, karma (just flpped an she stinks). lots of breeders that post in this thread. Dominion is a good rec as I'm guessing he is permantely retired from breeding. So the stock you see is all that is left, unless someone else releases his seed stash. I have a couple of his crosses but haven't popped any yet.

Might as well start working with the strains you ultimately want to grow now. Im finding it much easier to grow "high end" photo strains than any of the autos ive done.

My autos were good.....

Ive got a massive stockpile of Bad Dawgs gear. Waiting for pictures/yield/smoke reports on them before I pop any; though i might go into the motor city fighter blind because she seems to be something special. He has a lot of Long Bottom crosses so I assume its a damn good strain. Like how mass medical puts Pupil into everything, or Katsu breeding everything with '98 bubba, or archive breeding everything with moonbow 75.
