TRUMP CONVICTED

When Trump is indicted over J6, he might be indicted with his cronies, but Jack could also charge him alone with serious crimes too, cases that are easy to prove and try with no others involved, then try him for conspiracy with the others in a separate trial(s). It could be interfering with and corrupting the DOJ, "just say it was stolen", or the fake elector's scheme, or election interference, or insurrection, or the other charges outlined in the press. The point is there is a lot for Jack to choose from here and he can isolate Trump on some of the charges to simplify and shorten his trial and include him in conspiracy cases that are more complex too. Jack has a very large menu to choose from and a ton of evidence and witnesses for every charge he brings. The conspiracy charges might even be the easiest to prove with lots of rats but trying him as an individual for some offenses could lead to a speedier conviction with few complications. Once Jack gets him in a cage he won't get back out, gop nominee or not.

Effort to find Trump Jan. 6 lawyers reportedly called a 'suicide mission'

91,458 views Jul 27, 2023 #msnbc #trump #january6
MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell lays out new reporting detailing the many reasons why Trump is having trouble finding lawyers willing to defend him in the Jan. 6 case, including Alan Dershowitz who complained last year about being “blackballed” on Martha’s Vineyard after defending Trump. Andrew Weissmann describes why he thinks the struggle is of Trump’s “own making.”

Herein lies the danger for the GOP, their own base of bigots, morons and lunatics who can't let Donald go, they have to follow Donald down the rabbit hole until the primaries, if he turns on them, they are screwed. Some republicans want Donald locked up more than the democrats do, they seem to be content now that the wheels of justice are rolling, and they know where they are headed. Donald could win the GOP primaries and be locked up before the convention, even convicted of serious crimes and on trial for many more, by election day the court appearances will be full time and by inauguration day there is a good chance Donald will be in a federal prison with a state prison waiting in line for his ass if he should get out of a federal one. The republicans will either need to wait for Jack to lock up and muzzle him or go through the primaries with Trump leading and if he loses, he will say it was rigged and his base was cheated by the republican party RINOs. If he wins the republican primaries, is locked up and they take it away during the convention it will be very bad for the GOP in 24.

I dunno how many of these idiots would stay home in 24 or vote for Trump's independent candidate or even write Trump in on the ballot, but if just 10% of their base doesn't show up on election day or vote for Trump's alternatives, it would be a catastrophe for them. I expect that even after Trump is convicted and imprisoned, he will still command up to a third of the republican base for a time.

you know this is a big what if: What if the orange meatheat goes to the convention but the GOP and the RNC doesn't give him the nod? they give it to someone else?
It would be the end of the GOPs chances in 24 and could lead to a democratic landslide, Trump would freak out bigly, but being in prison or jail will do much to silence him. Federal courts in DC will be another world for Donald and he had better tread lightly when Jack busts him there, provided Jack does not oppose his release in DC, if he does based on his past behavior, Donald could be locked up on the spot or warned he will be if he fucks up again.

Chris Christie says Mark Meadows appears to be cooperating with federal prosecutors against Trump

9,962 views Jul 27, 2023 #TeamJustice
There has been much speculation about whether Donald Trump's former Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows, has flipped on Trump and is cooperating with Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team of federal prosecutors. It has been a very long time since Meadows spoke publicly, defending his former boss.

One recent data point seems to support the conclusion that Meadows has indeed flipped on Trump, as this video discusses.
