Russians lose 500-600 invaders every day, and Ukraine ten times fewer

Oleksii Reznikov, Defence Minister of Ukraine, has stated that the Russian occupiers lose "about 500-600" soldiers killed every day, while Ukraine loses "a tenth of this number".

Source: Reznikov in an interview with the BBC

Quote: "Reznikov states that ‘approximately 500 or 600’ Russian fighters are killed every day across the country, while Ukraine is losing a tenth of this number."

Details: It is noted that these figures are still impossible to verify.

The defence minister commented on the losses of the invaders near Soledar and in the area of Bakhmut, where fierce fighting is taking place.

In particular, mercenaries and Russian convicts recruited by Wagner PMC, a private military company in the pocket of the Russian authorities, are trying to capture Soledar.

The company is controlled by Yevgeny Prigozhin, better known as Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s "chef".

According to Reznikov, Wagner's mercenaries are not just interested in capturing the city; they will try to "make blood money" because Soledar is home to the largest salt mines in Europe.

In addition, Prigozhin "needs to provide some evidence to claim that they are better than the regular Armed Forces of the Russian Federation".

Soledar is about 10 kilometres from Bakhmut, a strategic city where Ukrainian and Russian forces have been engaged in a war of attrition for months.

Prigozhin is believed to have made the capture of Bakhmut a personal goal.

The capture of Bakhmut could pave the way for the Russians to advance towards Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.

Good idea, and Joe, find a job for this guy, something to do with Ukraine perhaps.

The type of Rep. you can respect,he's conservative but someone you can negotiate w/in good faith, just a decent honorable human being. Threw his seat away for love of country, the Rep. party could use 100 more Kinzinger's IMO, I'd be pleased if he was given a job concerning Ukraine for the Biden Adm.

Yep and that includes rail bridges inside 200km of their borders too and the Russians can't operate very far from their railheads and can't project power in any meaningful way using conventional arms. Russia might have a reluctant population 3 times bigger, but the Russian to Ukrainian kill ratio is exceeding 10:1, so it is not sustainable. Looking at the news I can see why this estimate is believable and probably accurate.

"We could come to a temporary or long term conclusion by the spring."

Western tanks may have come 'too late' as the conflict in Ukraine 'could come to a decision point' within months, says Robert Fox.

Half of that weapons payload could take out a Russian Rail bridge hundreds of kilometers inside Russia and be carried by a drone or cruise missile through their shitty air defenses. Once the Russians pull off their last gasp attack, cut the rail bridges behind them inside Russia and inflict a massive defeat while trapping their remaining equipment and army inside Ukraine cut off from resupply or support.

A drive to the sea of Azov dividing the Russians and the destruction of the Kerch bridge would be the beginning of the end. The Russians are trying an attack from the north including Belarus and are trying to involve them in the war. I don't think their attack in the north will work and will be stopped by territorials for the most part and a big mobile reserve centrally located and ready to be used north, south or east. Look how far the Russians got in the east attacking and ask how they would do in the north against prepared, dug in, combat experienced territorials? Using increasing numbers of western weapons, with more on the way over the next few months.
