What is the best lighting.

I’ve learned over the years that every time I cut corners, it costs me more in the long run.

This is true with everything in life I've found, not just growing. Most of us definitely feel your pain though :)

I subscribe to “quality over quantity”

I do too. That, and "even though this is what I want now, buy the larger thing because guaranteed, I'm going to expand, and buy two in case of failure".

Are you saying that you cannot hang strips the same height as boards or Cobs?

I'm saying they are less effective ran that high, unless you run them at a higher ma, which reduces their life expectancy.

I don't advise it, but it can be done?

(EDIT: They are all modified pcb tech, sometimes I just view certain applications to be more effective when ran in tandem. My opinions aren't to be considered to be fact, however I do try to understand the physics of the lights I build/use because it interests me as another side hobby.

CMH with far red LED is a killer combo. They make boards specifically to be run alongside them. https://growlightsaustralia.com/product/high-light-225w-max-high-red-2800k/

Those look great. Wonder what shipping to the us would be. I'd still try to add a few monos in the 660/730 range on another channel, but it looks wonderful, especially alongside the hortilux 4200k bulb.

Going to browse cutter now lol.
I've been thinking about adding a couple to my personal light stash. Shipping was a little steep. Just over $50.00 USD for two boards and heatsinks delivered to the East Coast.

Cutter has the nicha in linear strips and board pcb, gonna compare a spine 80/20 build vs these.

I have been working on a 3d design of a light that I'm going to building, I'll post at some point, when I finalize it. Been busy lately and been hella lazy on my day off.

Theres a discount thru them i think for RIU. Might be Forum? But shipping isnt cheap to the other side of the world. Im currently running the Hortivision 3000k 630w DE CMH lamp. CMH has such a wide spectrum.

Though I might just cobble this together and get a 5.5x5.5 room going and blast it.

315w CMH 4200k (Hortilux spectrum)
4x 1750k Timber Daisies at 380w [Outer Centers]
4x qb 96 elite v2 engines at 480w [corners]

I am going to be building a new room I was going to do a 10 by 10 for 12 plants four 1000 watt HPS but a buddy of mine told me did I should do a 4 by 8 and run 8 plants with two lights. My question for everybody is I have $1,000 budget I can build a room for free because I'm a carpenter so I'm wondering what size room I should build with how many lights I was thinking about instead of HPS going with LED but I don't know what LEDs are good. Also this room will be in my garage I have 8-foot ceilings
Autos or photos my 9 x 9 x 9 I running 780 watts 13 autocobs and getting awesome results
