What’s your thoughts on these HPS

Hey guys I have a local greenhouse that went outta business. They have a lot of 400 and 600 watt hps lights for sale picture is attached. I can by either of them for 50 bucks a pop. I have a 2x4 tent 400 or 600 watt???

Definitely buy them both. I have had awesome luck with a 400, but the 600 is better although they get hotter. You wont want to put even a 400 in a 2x4 unless you have fresh air coming in and the warm air exhausting at a pretty good rate. If I had the chance I'd buy both. If you have to pick one the 400 is more versatile imo, but you will more than likely want to supplement it with other lights if it will be in an area greater than 3x3. But the 600 is a lot of light for the money.

This place has 35 400
Watt and 40 609 watt

I guess those are some options. Those are nice lights for the price. You cant go wrong with either. But the 400s are a little more versatile if you grow with limited space.

Since you're in led section, why not... Not buy them. Then get leds

Led and "other". I'd snatch them up. They are good lights. If you were to get leds that put out the equivalent of a single 400 hps or MH, you would be dishing out a few hundred at least, and they would get pretty hot too. Your right that's a good deal. I just ordered a 1500 watt( actually a 140 watt) led and thought I was getting a deal for 39.99.
