When do you start feeding young cannabis plants nutrients?

Why is everyone so harsh on eAch other? Lol to each his own!

My first grow I knew nothing about nothing and used a very light nutrient soil and didn't use nutes at all until flower. My ladies looked fine. Didn't even do any research just threw the seed in the pot and bam!!

Whatever works for you and your grow is what you should do. Trial and error is the only way. You can only do so much research before just figuring it out on your own. Your first grow is always an experiment. RELAX.its a weed they are hard to kill

Btw..

Since my first grow I've def started using nutrients but I use coco and soil mix. I don' use nutes until week 3

I buy pre-mixed organic and add organic stuff to it and never feed at all. Tried a straight Ocean Forest test with some small White Widow and found many deficiencies in Ocean Forest (likely because they want to sell those expensive bottles of additives on a schedule). Hard to tell in pics but one on left much smaller with leaf spotting etc.

Im growing a white widow right now.. super stoked about your pics! nice grow man!
im also growing a dark angel and a couple sour diesel haze autos.

Im using the Flora Trio. I ordered the Flora Series Performance pack on the way which im kinda excited about testing out. Never used it before but heard great things.

All good info here for the most part. I've been growing for quite a few years and have tried a handful of premixed soils. I have used 3 and 5 gallon fabric pots. From what I have learned is, everything is dependant on the soil. Ocean Forest is very hot and usually you can wait about a month before first feeding. Happy frog seems to last around 2 to 3 weeks on average. My personal favorite is roots organics 707 and Original. I usually mix them together in layers and add perlite. 707 and Original are basically around the same strength, "don't listen to other people saying they aren't." The difference is the Original is coco based and the 707 is peat based. To be honest a great amendment that doesn't burn the plants, within reason of course is, worm castings. I will maybe two or three weeks in throw a top dress on there and Bam! If your really want a heavy soil that will burn your plants on contact, give Miracle Grow Garden Soil a go. :lol: Good look fellow growers!!:weed:

I used straight Ocean Forest with Perlite and no ph. Used Happy Frog for final transplant pot. Had no problems all through veg but a little dark leaves I thought so I added some Dolomite Lime which helps with not needing to pH water. I watered with Spring Bottled Water during seedling now with water from 55 Gallon fish tank. I'm in week 1 of Flowering

Only thing I learned here was that one dudes mom gives bad blowies.. seems like everyone’s methods are different and yet we all get the same results more or less. Interesting.

This is where I am at I did feed mine early and they start slumping over so I flush with just PH at 6.5 now I waiting to see if they bounce back . I am a first time grower, also I useing a Giixer 1000watt led i have it about 16in from the seedlings there not burning but growing slow! I know it my patients not the plant ?

I have 3 seedlings,... one seem to be doing great the other 2 I have giving nutrients to early I believe, I left out if town for a week and they whee slump over I flush with PH 6.5 I am useing pro mix with no nutrients and added earthworms dropping top of the soil they seem to be trying to bounce back . From what I am seeing I should wait for at least 3to 4 nodes before feeding nutrients?

Hey mate, looks like you really burnt them when you fed them too early. Instead of posting on old threads like this it would be better for you to start a new thread in the "Newbie Central" section.
If you look at the date in the top left corner of the last post on this thread before yours, you'll see it was over a year ago. Good luck with the recovery, I think a good flush like you gave them was the right move, then the next would be to start them on a very light veg feed and move from there.

If a person is using premix or some other medium with out any nutrients he should apply a light dosage
I seen a thread one time where a person did tests same strains seedlings each one had certain ppm levels as one set was fed nothing it clearly showed which seedlings grew faster and looked healthier.
They were the ones that were feed nutrients right from the start

But there is no denying one a seedling sprouts nutrients are needed for it to flourish plain and simple
So yes once first set of leafs are up roots are growing NPK is needed
But not in outrageous amounts

Got it I've seen a few different answers thanks so am useing pre mix and I am going with two just RH 5.7 -6.5 twice the low does he of Flora grow feeding once as needed . I am Doing 12-12cycle from seedling alreadysome training

I grow in 10gal fabric pots filled with ffof I have only done a few top dresses with dry amendments but honestly you probably wont need anything for most of veg I'd suggest getting some tm7 (I use as a soil drench every 3 to 5 weeks) if its available to you and some microrizea fungi to apply at your next transplant both of these are amazing products.20191107_205618.jpg

Hey there everyone, just seeing what ppl are saying about watering/feeding right after transplanting into Pro~Mix HP(High Porosity). Never used the stuff before and was wondering since there is next to nothing as for nutrients in there, any help would be great. Thanks! *My lil ladies are 2 1/2 weeks old, ready to go from solo cup into 4gal pot*

I fed just ph water for the first 2 weeks and then started at 25%nutes and make sure you get 5 to 20 percent run off. My plant is almost w weeks into flower and it loves pro mix hp
