Two weeks ago I speculated that my Dr Jack "Auto" and its numerous clones might be male. Well it seems that is indeed the case. I noticed that the cuttings I had taken were starting to flower at the tops, and the flowers looked male. So I had a really thorough check in the tent tonight, and pollen sacs are definitely forming on the plant in there.
I'll grow out the male in the tent, as it's already six days into flower. Some extra pollen to collect. The rest will be getting chopped, as I've no use for so many boys. Their leaves and stalks will go into the pile for processing into edibles.
So that's it for the windowsill this year. It's been an adventure, and a learning experience. I've now got the hang of cloning, which will come in handy for the future. Also practicing collecting pollen has been fun, and I'll get to make some seeds from crosses. But no bud from the window this time, unfortunately. Never mind, there's always next year...
