So that's the extent of this forums attention to the SINGLE MOST VITAL invertebrate ON THE FUCKIN PLANET??? How many of you's are on the less than legal side of growin and havin to dispose of masses of cabbage, root ball and schwag, each of which, if caught in possession will get yer door kicked in. Worms on the other hand, will eat the lot, make food fer yer girls, AND they chuff out a stack of co2 to boot. WORMS = WINNING!!!
Charles Darwin devoted a lot of time to studying worms, A LOT OF TIME .
Said the same as you...

Funny. As you spoke that words...wasnt possible for you to envisage my handicaps? It's just one variable. What do you suggest to fix your prrofumated arrogance?
Food for thought.
Hey, Platt.
It's very hard to understand you, but if you have any handicaps or disabilities, I don't mean to bug ya or a be a burden to you. All humans deserve respect, at least until they're disrespectful.. Which you got disrespectful so sorry if your not getting a tonne of respect.

For the record, I used to coordinate special needs camps and found it very touching, rewarding work.

If you don't mind, lets just choose to stop corresponding, id like to keep all info here posted beneficial for the Mj community in someway, whether humour or informational

there he is, our saviour!!

just a reminder
The last guy I knocked out thought I stabbed him with a knife several times, but it was just my gold and silver rings breaking his face open in nasty little explosions.

Cauliflower face, never mind ear.

Ive been a fighter for years, never seen. Face like this ever, not even in my 3 decades watching boxing events and fighting events around the world, Lol
i wish you and your puppets a speedy recovery from wht looks is your problem^

Is air supply adequate without purpose built ventilation? I've always given my worms loads more than your design allows, I assume the worms survive? Good info as I'm looking at making small scale 'in grow' wormeries and needing less ventilation makes my design problems far more manageable.
The wood breathes surprisingly well..
Plus each layer had hard ware mesh so castings fell right thru to the bottom ..

Castings piled on bottom, Then air gap,
Then mesh, then layer of worms and beddings,
Then air gap, then mesh, then another layer, etc.

I rock a different style now but I actually liked it a lot, nice self contained unit with no smell, it was easy to manage

For the record I don't advise cardboard anymore. But this was a good setup for my first run at organics..

Now the worm farms jus sit under the bunny, open .. I leave one bin full of hay, and she pees in that one.. I just discard it outside in a non gardening compost pile

Whatever she doesn't eat just falls thru and feeds the worms

I keep a 4 inch layer of hay on top of the beds of worms just to slow down the evap. And let the worms surface feed.

Now I have double stacks of totes and each pair of totes is going on a wheeled cart for easier movin ;)

At the risk of sounding stupid, I must ask, does your rabbit's poop go into the worm bin?? Or do you mean the food :?:

@firstnamelast

where are you located state wise FNL?

Just note that rabbit pee is packed with ammonium and salt, so I trained my rabbit to pee in one bin full of absorbant, on the left, for example, while feeding and pooping in the others 3 or so bins to the right. I tossed the absorbents in a compost I didnt use and fed the rabbit passing bins to a select worm farm.
So the pee is no good for the worms or soil? Any idea how many worms I should get to start with? A shit ton? I'm in northern Illinois. I have never been good at keeping house plants alive even, time to change all that

Well the more you get, the more you can produce from the beginning, but a pound is a good start if money is tight, they average $30us or so.. check craiglists / kijiji etc etc before paying for shipping, might have a local cat making worms, its a profitable biz if done right! And yes, pee is bad for both.. rabbit pee anyway comes out in massive volumes and will turn black plastic sheer white over night.

Alright got my worms ordered. Uncle Jim's Worm Farm has the best prices right now from what I could find. If anyone is in need, 2000 worms 2 lbs for just over $40 after 10% off code: 10off

@firstnamelast yeah the pee can get really rich if the rabbit gets dehydrated or eats too much alfalfa. less calcium and more water will help that.

2000 worms on way, very nice, congrats, you're now a worm farmer cheers to that

As for the size of screen, 1/4 inch will be good enough although you can go a bit smaller.

I like 1/4 myself though cause it lets a little wetter fresher castings through bit faster, just the way I like em.
