ive seen footage of mike fighting a ton, incredible speed and power. only guy i know that can knock people out with body shots, size does matter as much as I love bruce I've got to go with mike

It's already been proven that boxers do not do well in MMA. Bruce Lee would win, hands down.

It would have to be like that warrior show where they figured 1000 fights because every dog has his day and 1 fight could go either way. Mike was a solid rock with superhuman power against other guys his size. Bruce was a fast as hell and fought two steps ahead. It would be a very interesting match up. Can you imagine having the rights to the pay per view 10 fight series? You could retire and buy your own small country.

I think a journeyman MMA fighter would whip up on Bruce Lee and Mike Tyson in a cage fight. Todays MMA fighter needs to know many different styles of fighting and understands how to use the cage to his advantage. Bruce was a great at his brand of martial arts back in the day, but Hollywood made him bigger then life. Mike was just a MONSTER (how about a Tyson/Frasier in their "Hay Day" fight...WOW) back in the day. In a ring it was hard for his opponents to run from Tyson. In saying that, in a cage Tyson gets Bruce. Stay Safe....TMB-

Yes seeing mikes son fight a skeleton would be fun....

treeman, jeet kune do Bruce Lee's fightng system was a blend of other styles. Even Dana White calls him the grandfather of MMA. Bruce built JKD on finding what is useful and throwing the rest away. It was still evolving at the time of his death.

Bruce would win after getting roughed up some......but Mike would be the Vegas favorite.

Bruce would win easily. Tyson would never lay a fist on him. The devil looks under his bed and in his closet every night to make sure Chuck Norris isn't hiding there.

Easily Bruce, he beat him and would beat mike

There is one caveat. Everyone knows Iron Mike could take a punch. There is no footage of Bruce taking a punch. Wong Jack Man is the guy bruce fought that the story is from regarding Bruce getting winded after chasing and punching Man in the back and in the back of his head. This moment is crucial to when Bruce started to really reinvent himself and started to develop JKD. He realized that he had to do roadwork like a boxer, increased stamina. There is no proof about Bruce's early life as a roof top fighter, just anecdotal evidence.

Fun question regarless.
Just so everyone can see Mike was 5'10 and 220lb while Bruce was 5'7" and 135lb.

Both street kids, both had troubled lives but the true differences lie in how they were instructed on how to deal with their anger.

Bruce was instructed with a more philosophical sense of things bringing his body and mind together, making a more complete fighter, where as Mike was instructed on how to deal the most damage in the least amount of time.

The reason I called Mike a one trick pony, it was that he relied heavily on his power punches there were no jabs to speak of and little if no foot work involved, he stood there and pounded you. The reason he started losing was simple, guys started "boxing" him instead of slugging it out {which most could see, wasn't the best choice of actions} and what happened...he lost not only the fight but his temper and respect. Even Freddy Roach, who is arguably the best trainer in boxing had trouble teaching Mike the finer points of boxing.

I'm not saying that this fight would be an easy one for either of them, but given the training and discipline involved by both parties and the resulting skill set, Bruce wins for having a more varied approach.
