when it said it's all talk, i meant el presidente, not uncle buck from riu ffs..
the law is still on the books, growing or possession of cannabis is very illegal to do.. just because the president who is in office now is ok with this, it does't make it any less illegal does it?? am i missing something here, as i'd love to know..

so, for the fifty millionth time, what happens when the next person who happens to get elected is no longer cool w ith marijuana starts to go after smokers and people who possess cannabis?? christ, why is that such a difficult question to answer?? why can't obama do real change, you know, like the aca, and enact a law saying cannabis has been rescheduled, that way, hey, here's a fucking thought, no matter who gets elected, there will no longer be a law to up hold that says you have to arrest cannabis users?
Because to reschedule it, it would have to go through both houses of congress. I doubt the Republican held House of Reps. would be willing to pass such a bill.

did you even listen to what obama said?

he literally said he was not for giving 'carte blanche' to a cannabis industry. he said he would direct his justice department to make it a lower priority.

as we've seen, the only busts you can show us were folks, often felons, growing a shit ton and trying to use state MMJ laws as cover.

you don't really care for facts, do you?
I don't care for idiots trying to weasel their way through arguments.

And this is the problem with you koolaid drinking lops, you have to defend this lying POS of a president by using technicalities.
There's always some kind of caveat you Obama ass sucking lefties use to protect him.
It's pretty cut and dry to me, either he stops using the Justice Department to accompany, direct or assist with state authorities in MMJ raids or he's a phony ass liar.

President Obama has done more to undermine the faith and credibility of US law than any president before him.

President Obama actually says something that can help and lead to the legalization of pot and we still have people complaining about it ( on a pot forum no less ). very telling

Damn, I see partisans on a cannabis forum putting politics over principle, very telling, indeed.

so, until cannabis is rescheduled and people are stopped being told that cannabis is just as bad for you as herion and cocaine, i fail to see a victory, sorry to be debbie downer.. either, legalize, or get off the pot, pun intended of course..
what happens when jeb bush gets into office and repeals those laws and reinstates the cannabis prohibition?

then you must really fucking hate yourself.

And this is the problem with you koolaid drinking lops, you have to defend this lying POS of a president by using technicalities.
what he actually said during his campaign is not a technicality though.

It's pretty cut and dry to me, either he stops using the Justice Department to accompany, direct or assist with state authorities in MMJ raids or he's a phony ass liar.
he never said he was gonna do that though, idiot.

he said he was gonna direct his justice department to make it lower priority, and he said he wasn't gonna prosecute sick patients and those compliant with state law. both upheld.

he also said he didn't want to give carte blanche to a cannabis industry. he did break that one though.

instead of ignoring me, why don't you try and answer the fucking question cheesus??

what in gods name has changed because one president doesn't arrest people over pot?? what the fuck is going to happen when the next president is going to go after pot smokers??
how the hell is that change?? nothing has changed, my blind friend. oh, i sure can't wait for 2016, see we can all look back on the golden years of cannabis in the us of a..
why the hell won't you answer the fucking question instead of ignoring it??
Welcome to Paulitics, racerboy.

i can do much more than talk, i can literally go out and buy some cannabis legally now.

it's been two weeks. have some patience, grasshopper. this is a great wedge issue and obama is not gonna let one of those go to waste.
I cannot, and I live in a "legal state".

No. The scheduling wasn't done via the Legislative. The rescheduling follows the same process: essentially fiat lex by the DEA, an Executive letter agency.

He said he wouldn't make it a high priority, but that was only one of many of his misleading statements.
But the fact remains. you and the rest of the Obama ass suckers must resort to technicalities in order to defend him.
Politics before principle.

what technicalities? do you mean the words he actually said, rather than the words you falsely imagine he said in that inventive noggin of yours?

no, you still live in one of the other 48.

and technically i'd have to be a resident to buy some.

but the point remains.
I live in one of the Illegal 50. I align with racerboy on this issue: absence of Federal legal permission means cold breeze on my hind-cheeks. I am not arguing that the state's legal climate is without consequence, but i am saying it's not enough.

While a President could override a law or agitate for its repeal, I would think this to be MUCH more politically pricy than to simply realign an enforcement position on an extant law. It's absolute Swiss chocolate to a career politician 9elected or appointed) to be able to point and say "hey; I didn't write that law".
