probably make some great tasting dabsAlpha, here's that single tangilope plant all done up. All said and done 220gr. Remember, it was one of 5 plants under a 1000w. And it was not directly under the middle of lamp. So the way I look at it, I can pull 2.5lbs off this pheno. Problem is, I don't really like it. Way to orange for my taste. It's outta here.
Anyways, I don't think defoliating would have helped the yield. I've never tried defoliating, I'm stubborn I guess.
Not the prettiest of strains, but

If I used the nutrient brand you do, would I have yielded more? This was maxibloom ONLY(with a little Calmag+)
And don't tell me it would taste better! Lol
After posting to about 12 forums over the years, nothing really surprises me anymore. Having said that most are now defunct. Crazy how some folks put their heart and soul, and ALL their garden photos into these forums as kinda a holding place only to loose it all when the site went down for good. I learned from the get-go to save ALL interesting posts and my photos. You would not believe the content of some of the posts I've got archived from the OLD days of Overgrow and CW (Cannabis World).oh,it gets better, wait until he tells you about how he flushes with sugar in the raw,
Yeah, they can become necrotic after a while, but I think they become necrotic (i think that's the right word?) if there is no +/- dif, if the temps are the same day and night. It's good to know for sativas for sure! This is a neat trick, but you gotta watch the plant and don't let it go it too long. From what I've read, and experienced, it will start to lose its nice green color when subjected for too long. Like any stress, there's only so much sitting around and taking it before a plant reacts.
Yeah it ate the airstone lol, I didn't cut ALL the roots off, just enough of them to free the airstone and they have never looked better actually, the last pic of the tangilope i posted was after the root trimming they are happy as can beAnd now a testimony to grower and plant magic!
Ate the airstone, eh? One reason why I wouldn't touch DWC.
10X better, tried something "new"? Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you done screwed that plant realllllllllllll good.
If you read the whole article, I believe it dates to the 90's, still irrelevant to mj, but I figured I'd post it because it had some good info in the study.Old school hypotheses too! circa 1960's hehe.
Want more proof? Go to the video of the plant I posted and then look at the pic I uploaded yesterday and I'll upload a pic of them today, they look wayyyyyyy better after the pruning I assure you lol. Goes against my logic as well, but it did happen and I have proofLil bit of difference here.....
Smart pots and other root tip pruning systems don't remove the engine of root uptake and plant health - root hairs. They induce quite the opposite, a fibrous root system with more root hairs. I've grown about everything you can imagine for 45 years and for some kid to pass off some crap that overnight his plant is growing better "than every before" cause he butchered the root system just insults my (botanical) intelligence.
Now, I wouldn't be caught dead doing DWC or SCROG. I'm a simple man.
Damn aero! That's an insane yield!! And the buds look great brotha! I'm reallllllyyyyy hoping mines not that orangy. I have too much agent orange left and am tired of it as well, I hope it's more chocolope dom but still hard to tell. Just smells like chocolate covered orange candy at the moment. I'm not sure if defoliation is the answer to the tangilope bro, I just figured screw it and started on the defol path just for that plant, the plants have been so dumb since it sprouted and I don't like the way it grows at all, so far it's not a keeper, but if it does better later in flower I might play with it for one more grow and leave it unprunned to see what happens. I have 11 and 1/2 plants (the 1/2 plant is a runt stuffed in the corner) so I'm figuring 2.5 to 3oz-ish would be a good ball park on the tangilope since it's on the farthest side from the light.Alpha, here's that single tangilope plant all done up. There's something good to be said about keeping it simple (KISS), especially when the "oh so delicious carrot on the stick" draws many with a claimed increase in product. I have enjoyed scrogging it up, although my wife has pointed out that I may have spent more time in the garden than with the family during those runs... oops On top of that, the more I learn, the less I know, and with so much information I've got to keep it consistent until I get a system down that I can stay on. I'm dabbling in a little bit of this and that, babbling on about nothing, and dabbing in between, lol. Now, I wouldn't be caught dead doing DWC or SCROG. I'm a simple man.
Straight up mutant. Was that a freebie like mine was?I can say that scrogging definitely increases yield! In my little experience with scrog, my last run I used 1/2 of my 5x5 tent and pulled over a lb of just massive tops and over a qp of decent pop corn. I didn't even weigh the fluff, but it does take so much more time and I even messed my scrog up lol. I did it unconventional and started with 8 plants in a 5x5. 2 hermied so I pulled them and 6 were left. There's definitely alot of potential in scrogging. Here's some buds from my last scrog. Just huge colas everywhere. If done properly, 1200g is easy in a 5x5 with 1000w.
@Aeroknow - here's a pic of the tangilope as a seedling, not sure if I showed you this yet, see how messed up it was, the whole top of the plant fused together and the plants I have now all grew from one side shoot lol.
Thanks for making my case...... I have enjoyed scrogging it up, although my wife has pointed out that I may have spent more time in the garden than with the family during those runs... oops
Yup, it was a freebie lol from may or june promo I think. I haven't been to the feather river yet but that would be awesome to meet up and do some fishin/trading sometime man! I'm out near paradise now, much better then the RB area, so much more peaceful out here. I'm still trying to get my bearings of where everything is though lol. I think oroville is only like 40 minutes from me, is the fishing good out there? I gotta dig through my boxes from moving and find my pole and tackle stillStraight up mutant. Was that a freebie like mine was?
Do you steelhead/salmon fish on the feather in Oroville? We should meet up one of these days, slay some fish, trade some flavors
Isn't sugar, like mollassas only supposed to be used to feed the microbes? I may be wrong since I have little knowledge of organic growing.. But i don't think is for flushing?oh,it gets better, wait until he tells you about how he flushes with sugar in the raw,
I tried that and it just did more harm than good. these pictures were taken two weeks before harvest.FWIW, they need more N.
I Don't mean to step on your toes, but I've seen dwc buckets with 7 foot long roots they will fill a bucket right up so trimming is necessary. As far as trimming all the leafs off I would never do it. I trim some along with inner small branches just to open them up.Lil bit of difference here.....

You're taking that post out of context asshole. I don't flush dont need to flush all im giving the plant the entire time is fucking water. What the hell do i need to flush I recycle my own soil. Nice troll butthole
