Do not try to cover using incorrect statements for your buddy. Being he dodged the question at least 3 times, I have my answer - he lied. He's never grown an outdoor plant and neither have you or you both would know that plants grown outdoors under full sun still develop popcorn buds at the lowest levels, IN SPITE of getting plenty of light to those budsites.
Wrong again. I always top my outdoor plants to 4 main colas like I did here a few years ago.
Soil washed away showing fibrous rootball and 4 cola scaffold and a few small popcorn buds left just above the soil level.
Secondary harvest of popcorn buds, larf. I harvested main top colas, left the plant out in the field and then harvested the popcorn buds a few weeks later.

Way back when (1999), we never made seed deliveries to anyone other than a friend. Never where you were growing indoors. Now days wouldn't think twice about a delivery of seeds to my home address or where I grow. You get popped around here and nothing's ever said. You'll get a slap on the wrist is all. My fictitious name was tongue in cheek - B.S.
Notice the reference to the 'alt.drugs.pot.cultivation newsgroup' or ADPC as we called it? That was during the days before Vbulletin type internet cannabis forums as we know them now. Ron of Heaven's Stairway started what was the largest and most comprehensive cannabis forum ever, Overgrow.com. It was also full of drama and drama queens.

This is about growing indoors and defoliating to maximize limited light and space. U dont have that problem outdoors thats why u aint gonna get a response. So ur the one who is wrong

I did explain it i actually explained it very well. Its called apical dominance. Thats how a plant grows doesnt matter what you do u still get small pieces on the bottoms. DUH!! Point is u can minimize them with topping, defoliating and lollipopping another form of defoliation. U having trouble reading? Anything not getting direct sunlight is gonna be shit obviously as well as inner pieces and small off shoots nothing u can do about it period. But u can maximize the other lower growth limiting the amount of that shit by defoliating. Idk whats so hard to understand but then again im talkin to a moron so maybe i do get it.
