Getting PAID! What I did at work today.

The 1st of each month i check my bank & see my pension has been deposited, yup $5,200 is there , on the 3rd i check to see if my social security was deposited , yup $3,100 is there , on the 5th i check to see if my wifes pension hit the account , yup $2,200 is there , then i hit the bank & withdrawl $7,000 to stash away & leave the rest to pay bills with .

Before i retired i was up at 3am, had coffee & joint till 330 then out the door for the 1 to 2 hour commute , hit my jobsite by 530 am & make coffee , go over daily schedule for all the trades from 530 to 6 am, from 6 am to 7 am meetings with trade foremans & out roaming the site by 730 checking my assistants & inspectors then back to the trailer by 9 am for coffee & vicoden , normally 2 coffees & 2 7.5's , from 9 to 11 am i did yesterdays paperwork & faxed it in , from 11 till noon nobody came near me because i'd lock my door & tell em to come back after lunch , after lunch more meetings with assistants , architects & tradesmen till about 2 pm , from 2 to 5 various shit around the site , if trades worked overtime & needed the crane i stayed late & operated until the trades were finished , site locked between 5 & 7 pm .

On the way home stop by the grow & top of rez's & ph if needed , swing by home depot & pick up anything needed & be back home by 9 pm , shower & dinner then in bed by 11pm to be back up at 3 am the next day .

On weekends i managed all the rental homes & organized my company for their work week , sundays i used to spend with my wife looking at foreclosures & decide what to bid on each house , i still use sunday to look at foreclosures with my son & advise him .

Corrections....25 years Superintendent of Prison Industries Folsom State Prison. I ran the license plate factory....most of my crew that work for me today are ex-cons. We look at it as a crime diversion program...lol

From7 -5:30 I am a manual machinist running a Bridgeport making parts to build automated assembly lines. I've been at it 11 years or so now. I have also worked machining parts to built assembly fixtures for most of yhe major airlines. Got tired of the 7 day
weeks so im back doing automotive
working 6 days a week. My work
environment is pretty lax, they dont
pressure me for parts like most
other places do. today I spent half
the day pluging and moving holes and im taking the rest of the day watching a boring bar slowly make some high precission holes. most of my work has to be within .005" but somtimes they want stuff machined with in .001" but it dont matter to me, I got all day to make shit perfect.

Went in yesterday to have the owner of the restaurant greet me.

Aparently I'm using WAY to much water. I now have a 5gal limit when I clean the smokers.

This process is spraying them down with degreaser about half a dozen times. Pulling the racks out and spraying the inside of the pits and the smoke racks separately with degreaser.

Climbing inside the pits... I'm 6'2" there's only 4ft of standing space inside these things. There's half a foot is grease in the bottom. I used to just hose 'em out with a high pressure nozzle. Now I gotta climb inside and scrub them out by hand.

Rinsing it out.

Collecting all run off in buckets and dumping it into the grease traps outside.

Then scrubbing each rack with steel wool.

Takes about 2 hours apiece. But if they're not ready when I get there (which they never are) I gotta wait for whatever's cooking to finish.

all for minimum wage.

Told them last night they were either giving me a new uniform or paying to replace my drivers seat, because I was so filthy that it would have ruined the interior of my car.

What happened to the serving job?

If the place you are working is dicking you around on that (as they often do when they find a hard worker) you should start applying to other places.

To get a serving job - lie about your experience like it's your fucking job.

You can use me as a reference even, I don't care. But you should be in the front of the house. Way less work and way better monies.
