I went through their website and actually read ALL the new regulations but it is unclear to me.
where do i find a doctor to sign?

Look for ones based in Quebec if you are currently in MTL as there is a chance others will refuse to prescribe out of province. Get medical documentation of your ailments (if possible) from your own doctor to make the process easier for you.

Thank you, I have made inquiries at growlegally.ca which is a clinic based in Toronto, apparently they do Skype interviews and walk you through the whole process. I'll see what they say and go visit one of those clinics to compare the services/prices.
In the meantime I will try to find a day and go see a doctor to start documenting ALL my health issues.

Once you get your documents from the doctor make copies of all of them so that you have them on hand should you need them again at some point, I did not do this and I regretted it when I had to switch clinics.

only once.
they sign for you to possess and you do the rest of the paperwork.
finding a Dr is not an easy thing so I hope it works out for you

I've been having health issues for over a year now (anxiety, insomnia, migraines). Recently a doctor prescribed me some sleeping pills "Imovane" but it makes me feel numb, so i went back to cannabis. Now i hear people are getting their prescriptions and are able to grow their own medicine but it is mostly in the states or the West Coast. I am from MTL and don't know anybody who went through the process and tons of BS. Having issues with the Law is the last thing i need right now. Could you please explain to me how I can obtain a prescription+personal growing license?

If you need cannabis for mental health u need a psychiatrist to examine you first due to a gp not having expertise on mental health. So first go to your normal doc who prescribed the lmovane and tell him exactly what you have stated here. Then request you see a psychiatrist. It may take some time but your gp must forward your request. If at all possible have a list of all medications you have tried for insomnia anxiety etc. Explain to the psychiatrist how the side effects interfere with daily life. Once you have seen the psychiatrist then take your medical records, list of prescriptions to a canna clinic. Just my opinion

I had a buddy who was going to go legal through them and would have required a large script, he decided it was too much effort and that he did not want to deal with Health Canada so he said "fuck that noise"

I found a news article from "Journal De Montreal" where a journalist managed to get a 4g prescription to replace the Imovane that I was prescribed. All together it cost her 420$ and 49days later she got her first 30g. of meds from the LPs. To be honest I hate the idea of buying from LPs as I see the whole system as one big scam that some politicians use to fill their pockets.

Anyway, I am starting to document my medical conditions from now on and hopefully in a month or two I will be ready. Will be communicating with some of the clinics that I've found locally and over the internet and keep you guys posted.

I went through lift resource center but I did not require more than 3g currently (I asked for 2g), I informed them that I wished to grow my own after dealing with LP's since the mmpr started and they took no issue with it and did not try to convince me not to.

there are a few ways.....there is your own Doctor...or any number of newly sprung up Cannabis clinic's
some provinces will allow skype appointments,or consults.
just about any pain clinic will now eagerly set you up....with a referral
I have been asked by 4 different doctors I have seen...personally in the last month..... I kid you not.
in 2012 when I first entertained this idea...I was told by the same doctors....they did not believe in mmj as medicine..
and I had to actually use a consultant,who put me in touch with a law firm who put me in touch with a doctor.....
best thing to do is read up on these canna clinics and choose wisely ...since many of these newly formed clinics
are actually fronts for the licensed producers more or less...
They will tell you you have to choose from these two or three producers ...when in reality you have more like 25 plus to choose from off of the HC list.
The more research you do ...the less likely you are to get told something that is false or misleading...and trust me..
they don't all have the best track records so far....

I have tried to ask friends, friends of friends and so on. And the only type of people who CLAIM they CAN get you a license 100% because they know a doctor are some kind of very shady characters with horrible reputation. Prices are astronomical as well. I think this is just a scam for young stupid wanna be gangsters or something similar. I can't imagine any person with a normal state of mind paying the price of a 2011 Toyota Camry to some guy who looks like he just got out of the joint (literally).

The thing I appreciate about them is that they do not try to talk you into any specific LP and did not try to talk me out of growing at all. Although I no longer like or use LP's them convincing LP's to give discounts for lift points from reviews does help the people who have no other source for their medicine.

I do not know to be honest, unless you have a good doctor I am guessing not though (although I could be completely wrong).

You could easily build a custom tent set up yourself any shape you need.
Pvc tubing under 1 1/2" is cheap af.
I'd probably go even smaller like 34/1" max. Lots of 90's and 45's
Wrap the inside with panda and the outside with light blocking curtains.

Perpetual is the way to go if you can stay on top of the workload.

I wouldn't use PVC... I'd just frame out something with wood if you're going that way. PVC is useful but if you're pushing a lot of air and have a carbon filter hanging etc I wouldn't trust it personally. I've heard of the metal framed ones collapsing in on themselves I can see that happening with a PVC setup too.

100% on that, and above all it should be taken for maintenance continually but at less amounts of course!!!!!!
Growing for your life is cheap by comparison to buying off of LP or even the BM.
YOu can grow pounds for a couple hundred bucks and produce oil at cents on the dollar!
Instead of BUYING IT !!!!
grow outside for free!!!!

In Cannada now if you are sick you have to right to treat yourself any way you see fit with cannabis.

I would be asking why it costs more for personal production when all they have to do is sign a medical document just as they do with an LP.
