First day of FLOWER 12/27/16.

The DE HPS pushed out some crazy size this last week or so, should be an interesting 2 months.
The COBs are going well also The canopy is obviously more even given the obvious light layout.
The HPS is also pushing the area a bit more but the left bottom isnt there yet, I would guess it will fill in as it goes through flower.

Thats about all thats new other than making an awesome cloner.

One more day till the end of the first week of flower, may not seem significant to a lot of people but you can get a lot of information regarding how the plants react under different spectrums while being the same strains.

Little stretch on the cobs but the next 3 weeks will be more telling.

Lots of stretch on the DE HPS, and a middle ground between the two from the HPS.

Love seeing how close the stacking will be under the cobs, hope they're as dense as people talk about!

Great video. You may want to speak up when you are on the DE and HPS side because the fans are loud. How many COBs and what COBs are you running?

I am wonder if QB Boards have better penetration than COBs. Another thought is DE and HPS (when you have a bigger room) are going to drive cooling costs way up.

You could almost side light the COBs with T8s for next to nothing and it would be still cheaper than cooling those HPS and DEs.

Quick pick at the tops, the order is DEHPS, HPS, COBs. Cobs are a bit ahead but this is a quick update, not in depth.

Check out the leaves on the COBs versus DE and HPS. The leaves on DE and HPS are kind of cupping inwards while the COBs are flat. Why? Is the plant protecting itself from heat or is it being heat stressed?

It's not about "penetration" It's about having useable light at the canopy, I'll do some measurements on this later and make another video... With the fans off lol.

The HPS will be removed as I get more cobs.

Would raising the light help this? It happens my last grow as well.
Theres a chart floating around somewhere that tells you where to keep your r/h based on where you keep your temps or vise versa.its crazy high r/h and was designed for greenhouses and veggies.without having every single duck in a row its a bad way to grow pot imo.perfect conditions for bud rot and bugs.but alot of guys swear by it.

My understanding is high co2 goes hand in hand with the VPD chart and some believe the high co2 wards off the bud rot issues. Of course airflow is a must.

i have seen this happen now on my last 2 grows,, BUT only to certain strains,, on my last grow it was the Sour D that curled bad,, and now on this grow it was the headband strain,,,
raising the light did help,, but at some point , especially in flower you need the light power to be in the sweet spot,,
what I found helped more was More Fans,, move the air,, and speed up your exhaust fan if you can

For sure if a growing can keep his temps and humidity in the range on the scale, its best,,
i have that chart some place,, let me grab it
