Best LED for 3x3 flowering

RapidLed sell kits, not assembled fixtures. For $750 you get cobs, heatsinks, 600w of drivers and assorted hardware but this does not include the frame.
Timber sells a 600w kit with the same gear that comes assembled in a nice frame ready to plug n' play for $899.

So how exactly does RapidLed 'blow the doors off of timbers pricing'? LOL@Murdering someone else's prices.

Once you add the cost of the frame to that $750 it's up to $939. If you add the reflectors like Timber includes in the pricing it bumps it well over $1000.

Dan at Timber offers every bit equal support on the products as RapidLed does. Don't get me wrong I order from RapidLed and like the online shop but you're talking about blowing doors off and murdering someone else's prices....and in reality it turns out they are more expensive for the same wattage light fixture. The only slight advantage you get from the more expensive RapidLed light is twice the cobs running half as hard but for some they might even prefer the 6 cob setup and it's slightly higher hanging height. Plently of folks will undoubtedly prefer having the light be plug n' play which is a downside for the RapidLed light and should add to the cost because you either have to pay someone to put it together or take the time to do it yourself...which some people don't have.
My apologies... I assumed you were competant enough to plug in 2 wires to a cob - but knock yourself out. Pay$150+ for assembly a monkey could do, i dont care - its your $. But youre wrong. Rapidled DOES sell lights that are all but put together. If plugging in a few wires is rocket science for you, though, I'll assemble it for only $75

Oh my bad, please show a link to their 600w Vero 29 build.
And by the way, it's not just plugging in a couple wires and it has nothing to do with whether it's rocket science to some or not. The fact is, lots of people don't want to do the electrical work. RapidLed does not pre-wire the light. You connect the drivers and run your wire to cobs that you've mounted onto the pin heatsinks. Then you need to build a frame and mount everything to it.

Anyway, spare everyone the bs. RapidLed is a great company but they don't 'blow the doors off' or 'murder' anybodys prices, especially Timbers. The people who buy Timbers pre-built lights are the type that just don't have time in their life for more projects, maybe you can't relate but they are out there.
I'm all for recommending vendors but exaggerating to the point of saying someone murders or blows the doors off another vendors prices when in fact they don't...is kinda silly and misleading.
I've bought plenty of stuff from Robin@HLG and also from RapidLed and recommend them both. Timber offers great support, pricing and options and there have literally been hundreds of people in RIU that have bought from him and been more than happy. Exaggerating price differences to the point of being outright wrong is not doing anyone a service.

Dude honestly that's a bullshit response. Like seriously. Here's what happened once I bought my unassembled kit:

-Learn that I had to have a specific blade and bit that saws and drills through metal.
-Go out and buy said blade and bit.
-Find out that you actually need a tablesaw to accurately cut aluminum. Tried both auto and hand saws and I was getting shit angled cuts.
-Go to Ace instead cause they cut it for free (another $20 for another cut of aluminum.)
-Make my drill holes, which is fucking hard and I have at least 12 incorrect holes on my fixture.

I'm a mathematically inclined person and I can work tools but this was not worth the effort remotely. You're honestly an asshole for talking shit about someone who would rather have professionals make theirs ahead of time for a small price.

Edit: Plugging in the COBs was by far the easiest part, misleading as hell to say thats the work involved.

I don't know what that means. I'm saying I had a legitimate pain in the ass assembling mine. The measurements from the heat sinks were not 100% and measuring accuracy was near impossible. Going out and essentially talking down on others who don't want to assemble theirs unless they are "competent enough to assemble 2 wires" is misleading to say the least.

If youre after a vero 29 set up, Im telling you... rapid led will blow the doors off of timbers pricing. Plus, they will work with you, & advise you of your diy options, if youre looking for a custom build. VERY inexpensive to part your light together this way. Dont pay $750+ for a light until you have checked out HLG - if you want COB leds instead if quantum boards, go to rapidled.com - they have 12 COB cree kits that'll cover a 4x4 for $900 if you want max efficiency... or get the 12COB veron29 lamp for ~$700. That will MURDER anything you can get from Timber & ChilLED at that price point. Just email them & ask them to help you build... whatever u want. Theyll send u invoices & are endlessly patient with quetions. Theyre my #1 choice for COBs, & 2nd choice overall behind HLG.
I must second that rapid led got better price , their canopy frame is top notch and only 20$ for the 20" and 23 for the 23"

http://www.rapidled.com/2-canopy-rail/

They can come with screw ,heatsink and hanging kit

Also price+shipping they are even more affordable than cutter.au

The frame for the 600w 4'x4' is $190 extra. RapidLed costs more than Timber for the same wattage and it doesn't come assembled. Either way, rapidled and Timber both offer very affordable and competitive pricing and support. If you want one assembled then order from Timber.

RIGHT?! These guys had me thinking I was in the twilight zone... "timber is cheaper than rapidled"... What? "Rapid led light assembly requires a phd in mechanical engineering." What? Strange how something so obvious can still be debatable. People get TOUCHY about their lights. "I own them, so THESE are the best." Or, "I got my lights from such&so, so they are the best."
Man, Im waiting for the owner of a 300w Viparspectra to tell me that Spectrum King has nothing on their light! Lol

No dog here- but when you add the needed brackets that's $40 for a 2' section. Need 2-4 of those to match most frames already assembled and then not trying to lower four separate pieces and the extra hangers. I'm happy paying $25 to have Dan assemble EVERYTHING and ship it out to be hung and plugged in.

Exactly...I thought I'd make my own in an attempt to save $50-70 but in short that did not happen and it took me about 8 hours to complete the drilling alone. Lots of mistake holes in my fixture now.

Maybe you're just not good at math and that's fine. If you order a 600w kit from rapidled, add on the frame and reflectors and you end up paying more than the fully assembled 600w light from Timber. It's real simple math actually and instead of coming on here talking out your @!# about how Rapidled murders or blows the doors off Timber you should have taken the time to represent them with honesty.
You still haven't posted that link to a fully assembled Vero 29 light like you said they have. Anyway, just stop exaggerating shit through the roof and all will be good. RIU is meant to share our thoughts and opinions but at least try and make them remotely true.

RapidLED Vero29 600w with fixture: $750 + $190 = $940

Timber Vero29 600w Framework: $899

...just to clarify for others who read this thread.
You didn't add the cost of reflectors but I think people get the point even without it. I would have linked the pages earlier but I was on my cell phone in a broken down truck in the middle of nowhere.

Ive really been searching for opinions on this to help me decide what qb set up to get for my 4x4. Ive been told by hlg that 3000k is the best for veg and flower and then another user in another group suggested 4000k. Is it better to just get a designated veg set up and a designated flower set? Im so confused i just want the best bang for my buck.

Right now im thinking 1 x 3000k board & 1 x 2700k for flower and a single 5000k for veg. Opinions? Will that single 5000k veg plants well enough to get me to flower

3000k will veg as well as any metal halide I've owned including the hortiluxe blue and will flower better then any hps I've used including a hortiluxe super hps. Get the 3000k unless just for veg get 4000 . 3k will do both flawless.

Id rather pay ~$165 to gather the components for a 135watt (can hit up to ~159w) HLG qb288, or even buy a kit for $185 if stock is an issue. You could get ~540-600watts for ~$660 - and theyre SUPER easy to assemble. These boards are no joke. PERFECT for a tent set-up, they run very cool & can be lowered to within 12", depending on the strain & age of the plant. Youre getting 1400 par watts in the center of EACH light... that would be my #1 option. I honestly dont know how deeply they penetrate, so Im not 100% certain theyre the best bet for tall sativas, but for short plants & medium sized plants that are trained short, horizontal, I know for a fact that they KILL IT in ScrOG. Lolly-pop the bottom third on medium height plants - short plants that are properly pruned dont need it - all the bud will finish :)
