not more complicated just more dollars lol fuck the permit shit sure he got buddies he needs a 100 amp subie in there dig the trench buy all supplies have buddie hook up,op seems bright enough to take it from sub panel, saying this not noing what main panel looks like u can jam 200 amps into 100 amp box long as u don't use more than 90 amps at any given time,i have a 100 amp main 50 goes to my out building run the house on the rest witch is well over 75 amp but h\w an dryer r gasalso, not to shit up your thread, but do you have any friends in the electrical field? if you hire someone, breaking ground to bury wire/conduit might result in that electrician having to pull a permit from the town office depending on your local ordinance.id want the least amount of eyes on that project if i was in a non-friendly state.that sounds like a decent size room,id want a big sub panel.not sure how many lights you plan on running, but the dehumidifier,i personally would have on its own circuit, lights too,on their own circuits.the size of the subpanel in that room is going to be determined by how many breaker openings you have at your house panel.which brings up a question, how much free space do you have in your house panel? are there breakers in every spot in your home panel? if so,your project just got a little more complicated.gl
i agree on the 100 amp sub, thats exactly what i was thinking too.if he hires someone, technically a permit should be pulled.i agree with you, fuck a permit lol.youre right,op seems bright and im sure he has friends in the field that can help.with no electrical knowledge,id want someone who has experience(not a paid electrician) helping out. i'll bow out of the convo about jamming more breakers in than its rated for lol.that shit makes me nervous.to each their own.problem

iam not book smart, but my common cence witch I have a boat load of, tells me I can have 500 amps of breakers in my 100 amp box long as I don't go over 90-100 amps at any given time be safe, now is that what folks call legal NOOO, been working for me for yrs now, this op is growing in one of the toughest states out there fuk the permiti agree on the 100 amp sub, thats exactly what i was thinking too.if he hires someone, technically a permit should be pulled.i agree with you, fuck a permit lol.youre right,op seems bright and im sure he has friends in the field that can help.with no electrical knowledge,id want someone who has experience(not a paid electrician) helping out. i'll bow out of the convo about jamming more breakers in than its rated for lol.that shit makes me nervous.to each their own.

dam dude don't be stealing that, cross the line I wont walkI am working right now and don't have time really to respond to everyone like I want to. I will be on this evening and we will discuss it further.
I did mention this idea to my partner (close family member) he seems to know a lot about electricity, always has. I asked him about running the electric from the breaker box inside the house and he says that I don't have to do that. That on the electrical pole there is an "extra place open" to run the wiring to the bunker? I have no idea? I don't know shit about electricity.
Taking your electricity from the pole and not having it run into a energys company meter and then paying for said power is stealing from your utility company and that will DEFINITELY get you CAUGHT and JAILED. They will detect the extra energy pull and they will find itI am working right now and don't have time really to respond to everyone like I want to. u never watched hogans heros lolI run cob led now after years of using HID, ime led wins there are plenty of threads about that tho. Someone made a good point about Hids being able to heat your space which may be a consideration for you.
How are you going to ventilate the cellar? you are going to need good air intake and exhuast which will be moving a considerable amount of air for a space that size. Keeping it stealthy will be difficult you dont just want big chimney stacks sticking out of the ground roaring with air.
Unless you plan to run a sealed room with CO2 but I would think with the moisture problems of growing underground the more airflow the better.
I think proper ventilation/humidity control will be your biggest concerns
With the dog house inside a fenced, gated kennel and some big-ass dogshide it under a doghouse....
