The Trade war between the US and Communist China

Markets taking a dive one day after a one day rally due to the bond yield curve. Despite all the good news and cheering on by Goldman Sachs investors have been seeing more and more trouble ahead and Trump is the prime cause. I’m loving it. This bond yield inversion has preceded every single recession in the last 50 years.

Gotta love Chump. Yesterday he accidentally acknowledged that US buyers are actually paying these tariffs. Further his extension for the date of implementing the tariffs to give businesses a chance to stock up for the holidays is a clear sign he has no plans for any kind of pullback on his trade wars. It gave the markets one day for minor gains. Investors are noting all of this. The stable business failure genius is showing his stuff. Now we see exactly why he had to bend the knee and ask Russians for money.

It’s obvious his tax returns would probably sink him except for that retarded 33%. Those fools would eat a mile of his shit just to kiss the hole it came from.

The currency drop is paying for some of the cost. Right now, I can get a good Xioami phone here in Kuala Lumpur for a hundred bucks. The cost of rice has doubled because the CCP bought ag products in Asia instead of the US.

The price of everything has changed. A lot of people are scared here. Chinese warships are all up in Philippine territory with their identifying systems shut off. I fear that a proxy war will break out but I don't think most Filipinos would want to support China against the US.

I’ve said before they’re willing to pay the prices in more ways than one. They are going to save face somehow and calling a bully’s bluff is one of the ways they’ll do it. If they concede everything that Trump demands then most other countries would expect similar. They’re not concerned about 2020 elections in China. They can gladly tolerate any pain because the leaders are leaders and will simply roll that shit downhill. The wealthy and the powerful and influential might have to eat a shit sandwich but it’s not as bad with tons of bread.

I'm not disagreeing with you. We all pay the price for Trump's lack of tactics. Even if some people are benefiting from the trade war, it's not sustainable. $150US for a high spec smartphone will hurt all of the smartphone companies and employees and make it impossible for the world to avoid having Chinese 5g.

You do not win a trade war by alienating all who might do business. This is particularly true when the CCP is manipulating the Yuan to make their exports even cheaper. The only things that will sell, everywhere, will be made in China.

In December 2016 there were 6 million people with car loans more than 90 days past due. By February 2019 it was reported in December 2018 there were now over 7 million such loans past due over 90 days. Despite a hot economy and “full” employment. This should be a key sign for economic trouble. But not in America where they want consumer confidence high so today investors were cheered by Wal Mart reporting strong sales. Wal Mart. How many of these wealthy ever darken the doorway at Wal Mart?

Next, to keep you unalarmed they’ll be reporting quarterly sales at Dollar Tree and Family Dollar. But don’t worry and keep on spending. Your aristocratic class is counting it.

I used to email him regularly blasting him for hugging Wall Street. Not one fraudster went to jail. I would carry him back to DC from LA now.
Obama's policies are how we got Trump.

Be sure to vote for Biden so we can have more of the same!

Between the years of Russian propaganda machine trashing Hilary online (Because it was obvious she was one of the most qualified candidates and would be running for president after Obama), White Male Only Agenda parties hardcore push in investigations against Hilary for years, and their leader Mitch's shutting down of any responsible legislation to stop Obama from being able to do much of anything. Set the stage for the 2016 elections.

What really pushed it over the edge was Trump using this along with all of the angst that the triggered insecure white male had on a massive scale due to being easily duped due to the fact that Obama was a highly educated competent black man and the commander in chief, and they damn sure did not want a woman to hold the highest office in the land. How could their White Male privilege handle all that suppression.

So they went around to all their families spreading bullshit they read online and enough white women bought into it that even though Hilary Clinton had more than 3 million votes, Trump had 80,000 more where it mattered and she lost.

Biden is still going to have to deal with Russian/Saudi/Trump troll online misinformation campaign, because Trump welcomed foreign election meddling, and has gutted all the agencies that actually combatted these attacks on our citizens. But they have not had 4 years of misinformation propaganda building up against him like Hilary. And if they pull it off and everyone buys the lies of the propaganda machine, he loses and Trump loses to whoever is right behind Biden.

Trump has done nothing, sure the Democratic party won't win over the evangelicals, because they want activist judges to strip women of their rights and to allow them to dumb down our education system, and they won't win the racists (because the Democratic is not the wealthy white male only party like the Republicans became in the 70's), but enough people have seen how ineffective and actually destructive he is as our leader. He needs to be replaced.

I'd like to think that Trump was elected because of propaganda but it only had a small effect. Trump was elected mostly because of racism. Even his trade war with China is overtly racist. ("those sneaky Chinese, can't trust 'em")

OTOH, I support US pulling out of trade with China just not Trump or his methods.

My thoughts are similar here. There are many reasons to worry about the damage that the CCP poses and intends and the approach to deal with them has been detrimental. In fact, the bigotry that Trump has associated with it has become a source of solidarity with this formidable and unseemingly belligerent adversary. Furthermore, imposing tarrifs on other prospective trading partners when we need them most has put the country at greater risk of economic collapse.

Racism that was stirred up hard over the Obama years leading up to the election by Russian (if not other) disinformation campaigns. The majority that voted for Trump may not have been swayed by it, but the suppression campaign in the Arabic and African American communities was very real and did affect the outcome in Michigan.
