Same. Also the square form factor interesting for some placement ideas where it doesn't make sense to deploy an array with strips.Im digging the 340mm Slim version. Those will be ideal for me, finally can actually make 3x3(ish) panels with the many 700ma CC drivers I have.
What a tease! So what were the prices of the new strips?Octopart search still has no stock anywhere....although a couple of the part numbers hit Digikey with prices, with no parts available.
I'm still running Gen1 on all but one fixture, but it looks like I held out long enough to make upgrading, actually an upgrade...hehee
Link?Digikey has the "slim" variant listed, only the 80cri ones so far. In Canadian pesos they have it listed as:
34cm = $10.84
59cm = $14.36
119cm = $22.30
For what it's worth...they seem to have STEEPLY discounted the remaining Gen 2 stock. Very tempted to grab some more strips and add to the collection!
I like them for the form factor not for the price.Why is everyone going for the SLIM version?
That's DOPE!!!you might like our custom lobs on 28mm CLU48 footprints, this one is 450 Rb, with 660 Deep Red, with some PC Amber and Lime, to give it some HPS type spectrum
From what i hear they likely will not be carrying it. You can however special order through them, minimum is 180 on the 4” strips. Pretty good price too. But you will pay for freight and additional tariffs if they apply.no 90 cri
Thinking of doing a 4x4 build for flowering only. What gen to strips would I look at ? And how many would I need to properly flower a 4x4?This is the link for both the Gen 2 stock and the "slim" Gen 3 which isn't in stock yet. They're saying "standard lead time 1 week", so shouldn't be too long before we start seeing them.
I take back the STEEPLY comment. Maybe REALLY NICE would be a better way to describe the discount. Compared to the last time I checked, maybe a couple months ago, seems like about a 25% discount.
The Gen 2's are $4.22 / $7.26 / $11.88 ($12.65 for the 5000k, bumped the price up a bit in the last hour!) for the 28/56/112cm strips respectively.
Google "LEDgardener strip builds" He will havea list of builds for 2x2, 2x4 ect using Bridgelux EB gen 2 strips and others, he will have parts numbers for each size strip in each colour and you can google those to find a supplier.Thinking of doing a 4x4 build for flowering only.
