i will be buying more hortibloom! i am wondering why on forum hortibloom is not considered as kingbrite meiiju and r2t
What is the price of the hortiblum ? Do you have a link to the one you bought ?

Hello everyone.
The light came last Friday and is great this far.
It is currently covering a 4x4 area on 70% power, the plants are responding well and are stretching nicely. Fluffy tops are appearing and the plants are all healthy and praying to the light. It's a very even spread of light, no measurements yet, waiting for lux meter.
Assembly is simple, build quality is good but could be better. The WiFi and Bluetooth app is great, with it being really cool to use all the light functionality from my phone, dimming, on off, timing and UV and IR controls. I hoped the 730nm would be a separate circuit to have the ir light on for 15 mins after lights out to try the flower initiation effect.
As it happens the UV and IR only works when the main LEDs are on, so I've been running the ir 15 mins before lights out.
Temps have gone from highs of 33c with two cooling units running, to 29c with no coolers.
All is well so far, I'll keep you posted. Light is now 12 inch above the plants btw

Just blew a fat stack on the new tent setup. I made the leap of faith for the geeklight pro. Got the AC infinity t6 w a carbon filter from g hydro off Amazon. The tent coming from Amazon as well. Didn't want to risk getting a pH pen smashed as my old blue lab pen was years ago. Will have to wait for a local hydro store to open up for a few last things like nutes/ferts, pH pen, Coco, and hopefully I can get a ppfd/par/lux meter to test these official numbers. As well as watts to the wall. Anyone in the New England are got a good meter to measure these I can pay for your time. So I'll update with my own thread in the coming days as everything rolls in.

My supplier lady Anna from geeklight said she made my invoice 190usd to help with customs fees. Hopefully it does...but as I've never had anything shipped in from chy-na idk what to expect as far as fees....do they call me or does the shipping rate include the cost of those fees...haven't gotten a distinct answer.

They will either call you before from your shipping company or customs and tell you how much. Or as many times just show up asking for money in cash, but with receipt and stuff. How much would depend on tariffs, state tax (i believe US dont have any Value Added tax).

For us here in spain it usually works out as 25% of invoice value. As opposed to 21 if it was bought in Spain. But since many times they reduce the value it works out cheaper anyway.

When shipping from Kingbrite to the US, any tarrifs are included in the shipping charges they quote you.
I believe the goods are "accepted" by US customs in Hong Kong (from observing tracking info en route), which as of last week still had a special trade relationship with the US.
Declared value (done by Kingbrite, no action required from buyer) must be under $800 to avoid an additional taxes being added (according to Kingbrote sales rep when I asked).
I assume that (<$800) value is applied at the "box" level, as orders are broken down into multiple parts for shipping.
As long as customs does not decide to randomly open your order and appraise the value of your gear, you should be fine.

You'll be fine dude, you will have 2 boxes, one with the light bars and the other with the ballast. My ballast came on Wednesday but the bars didn't come til Friday after I had paid the customs fee about £40 English, she put about the same value as yours on my invoice

Ok I’m going to post a neutral review that could go either way on Meijiu later.

I ordered the MJ-660 from them and everything went well as usual.

Until the delivery where UPS left two drivers at my doorstep... and no light.

So I got somebodies driver and they got my light.

UPS blamed Meijiu and vice versa.

Meijiu tried the “You shouldn’t have accepted it..” which I didn’t. They left it.

And... “ we showed you a picture of boxes we sent it so it’s UPS fault. “. Yeah, that’s not logical.

So somebody messed up and I have no light and quite frustrated.

Still it’s a neutral review as Meijiu has been helpful so I can’t quite go off on them yet.

I’ll update as to whether Meijiu gets me my light, or screws me over.

Good luck brother. I got my fingers crossed here. I should be getting everything by the 11th.

I guess this may prove/disprove what we keep hearing from the naysayers about ordering from China.

At this point I’m confident I’ll get my light.

Frustrated though.

I bet you are. My package came over 3 days. Ballast arrived whilst the light was still in Dubai on the journey. Good luck mate

So I came across this par reading by geeklight official on youtube. Now as far as I can see these numbers look fairly reliable. Gives me some relief...any thoughts.

Right? ALL the manufacturers do a great job, but they all miss something too that would make them sooo much better.
Send them a message I'm sure they can figure out the rest. From my experience money talks and bullshit walks. Money is the universal language. Lmao
An 8bar setup with the closer spacing towards the edges, would be without a doubt my first choice.
Especially since they've incorporated the 385nm LG diodes, 730nm FarRed, and 660nm PhotoRed. Bit sure if they've got any 430"ish" Blues too, but that'd be absolutely perfect for me.
