sounds like thrips. A lot of people dont know that thrips and aphids dont always look the same, they have several different stages, from small clear, to amber, to red, yellow, they transmogrify and present in many different colors and shapes., hey I have a question, you seem very knowledgeable, i have one plant thats getting yellow leaves.. you can kind of see it here, what do you think? Not bugs, maybe needs cal mag? its just this one plant.
I will look for thrips just in case, but my spots are more rust/brown than silvery from thrips? Your plants look great imo from what I can see; looks like normal fading of large fans. I’m truly no expert tho! I am a gardener, but this is my first real large foray into outdoor cannabis cultivation.
My plants are small enough that I can keep a pretty good eye on them - I'm not such a good gardener that I can grow 10' trees and keep them from harm. Plus I still have almost half of last year's crop in jars - so between climate and consumption, small works best for me LOL.
I took out a bunch of leaves yesterday too. Focused on those that were already starting to lighten up. I know the locals in Afghanistan and Pakistan where these hashplant seeds come from don't do this - they let the plants turn yellow in the fields and don't chop them down until winter - but they don't have to deal with foggy rainy coastal New England fall weather either. Adapt or die!

Carefully remove and dispose of any affected leaves and flowers, and then spray with a hydrogen peroxide solution. I use 1 part of 3% peroxide to 5 parts water.
Yeah most strains all the hairs will turn orange, then once that happens you know the calyces have swollen. Harvesting comes down to preference after that point. Some strains may keep throwing new white hairs but Ive rarely had any, I usually wait longer than most, as I prefer a narcotic type high, which would normally be picked later.
Make a 0.5–2.0% solution (5–20 grams per liter) of potassium bicarbonate to water. Spray directly onto mildew infected plant tissue. Also you can organically use apple cider vineger or the ol milk mix, Ive never used it, but have heard it works.
this was very helpfull. thank you for taking the time out. yeah i kinda jumped the gun when picking seeds, was just too excited lol. but ive learned so much this season that i will take on to next year. my location is likee 100 feet away from a brook and about ten feet away from a building. but its in a field with dame near complete sun all day. pictures i will have really soon.
Best way to learn, keep that excitement and this plant will reward you in more ways than you know. Growing this plant literally saved my life... it sounds stupid and cliche but not even the medicinal effects of smoking or getting high anything.. Im talking about just caring about something other than nothing... when myself wasnt enough, and some reason to get up out of bed and go take care of something even if I wasnt taking care of myself.., I didnt see it at the time but in all seriousness, growing this plant and taking care of my dog is the only things I can see that were the reasons for where Im at today...theres a very good chance the road I was on turned to a dead end many miles back, so Im grateful to be here and owe it to my dog and growing marijuana.... Of course this wont be the same for everyone, but I really do love this plant...
I am also in Western Mass, let them go as long as you can, Im looking at probably mid to late October, but you may run into some rot issues before that. Dope scope the trikes on the calyx, not the bud, and when they are cloudy or just turning amber, time to chop. Luck.
