I don't think I've ever voted for a Republican. The thing is, from Barry Goldwater on, and maybe going back to the 1920's and our first war on drugs, I don't think Republicans have changed all that much. They have always been fascist extremists. The country has changed while they haven't.

Democrats were conservative and fascist at times in the past but they have moved to the left ever so slowly. Biden's history of legislation shows a lot of that change. He's authored some very damnable legislation in the past. Nothing like what Republicans were doing at the same time though. We are undergoing a shift in sentiment along with becoming more diverse, which is partly why we are also so divided. Also, give the nod to @hannimal, right wing propaganda that is in part or mainly from outside countries such as Russia has done much to divide us too. In all of this, Republicans are on the wrong side. As they ever have been.

I think the Lincoln project might have a good start for a real conservative party, the republicans are poisoned with racist lunatics and Qnon nonsense for a decade. If the right splits it could mean a long rule by the democrats, it happened in Canada after a catastrophic loss on the right, best thing that ever happed to the place! Happened to the Whigs in the states too, in the republicans case it might be death by Trump.

'I’d wait for hours if I had to': Long lines greet voters on first day of early voting in Georgia

SAVANNAH, Georgia – Early voting for the Nov. 3 election began Monday in Georgia, and thousands of voters lined sidewalks and streets throughout the state to have their voices heard in one of the most contentious elections the country has ever seen.

The computer failures that plagued the primary elections in June were again an issue in pockets of precincts. There were reports of polling locations with too few poll workers. High turnout on Columbus Day when many voters were off work contributed to the logjam, as did continued concerns among many voters about mail-in ballots.

Election officials in Fulton County were aware of an issue with the electronic pollbooks used to check voters in at State Farm Arena, where Atlanta's NBA and WNBA teams play, county spokeswoman Jessica Corbitt-Dominguez told the Associated Press. Technicians were on site working to resolve it, she said.

The Savannah Civic Center polling site has 10 voting machines. Two of them shut down abruptly Monday morning, but came back online within 20 minutes with a visit from tech support, said poll worker Andre Wortham. In Pooler, a suburb of Savannah, computers were down at least an hour in the morning and wait times to cast ballots were as long as four hours.

Long lines for early voting have been a common sight in 2020, with voters lining up, sometimes for hours, outside polling locations in Iowa, Virginia, Ohio and elsewhere. Many states have expanded voting options, including early in-person voting, in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The great thing about Donald's rallies is they only lose him votes, nobody watches them, except lately to see if he croaks, and the news summary of them the next day usual contains the highlights and fact checking, along with outraged commentary.
