I think mr x was being facetious.I've worn a mask 100% of the time in public since February. I've stopped going out and mindlessly driving around because it creates unnecessary encounters with random people.
I got covid because I live in in trump country and too many mouth breathers still bring their 6 children along with their pledged cousin-wives into Walmart to buy a pack of smokes and a six pack of beer; picking their noses, finger popping their assholes, and touching everything at the self checkout stands
I'm now turning into one of those "long haul" patients. I'm on week 4 on nausea, shortness of breath, confusion, minimal energy levels, dipping blood oxygen levels the longer I stay awake, rolling fevers; I'm not "sick" anymore, covid just so thoroughly wrecked my body that it will take months to recover and there's no guarantee that I ever recover to my 30 year old self of just 6 weeks ago. I've breathed easier after running half and full marathons in my 20s than I do now after unloading groceries from my car and walking them the 15ft. into the kitchen.
Just to make sure I'm understanding this, you got peer pressured into not wearing a mask by some random idiots in your town?
Sorry to hear about how the virus is affecting you. I'm completely in sync with your ethos of "wear a mask to protect others". I don't understand why that's not all one needs to hear in order to be convinced to wear one.
