I think it would be a mistake for House Democrats to run against Trump or Republican Trumpism in 2022. It didn't work in 2020. Trump is in the background, always anyway. He's always spouting off and the few Republicans who don't like Trump will be affected by what he says. It's the ambiguous right wing voter. The right leaning Independent or Republican-Obama voters that a candidate running in a contested race needs to attract. Democrats can win back those voters running on traditional Democratic core values like health care, education, collective bargaining, environmental issues and civil rights. A counter to the backlash against defund the police is important too.Good argument & is one way to approach the destruction of Trump & the GOP
I think another approach could be a focused attack not on Trump, but on the entire RNC.
Now is the time to really show/point out the hypocrisy/depravity in general in the GOP, not just Trump, but his entire party.
They right now are self-destructing, showing everyone that they are Trump and it wouldn't take much effort to drive home that point.
Trump will always have his base so they don't matter & but the Republicans are not exactly popular now.
That should be pointed out from now on until the midterms
Focus on the assholes that are Republicans (there is no shortage of them) & tie them directly to that fucked up Party and interlink them so everyone thinks all Republicans are assholes.
Fucking attack all of them now & make Trump good for something, the desruction of the GOP.
Same goes with Senate races except in some states where Republicans went too far trying to overturn the election, such as Arizona, Nevada, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
