Dad bought a new 21' Starcraft open fisherman in 1973 - put a new 115 H/P 2 stroke Yamaha on in 1999 and passed it on to me in 2000.
Handheld GPS said top speed was 48 MPH but it felt more like 80!
Crazy how fast it seems on the water. Here in the northeast in anything under 40 feet 20 to 25 is the fastest comfortable in a chop. Ive done 70 knots in a 40' yellowfin with twin 7's once and felt like i needed goggles and a helmet

Have you seen the triple 7 motors? Those things are insane both in performance and cost + you're gonna need a "real" transom to house these critters.

We were a dealer.
Crazy seeing shorty headers on an outboard. They had some serious mechanical issues though, got bought out buy volvo, and discontinued.
I think volvo just wanted rights to their zf transmissions

Planning on heading to Bermuda in Feb. or early May and hopefully will do some flats fishing and surf but only taking light spinning stuff. Any thoughts on what’s best for bones and hogfish (hear their tasty). I’ve fished there before but only for a hour or so, caught some little stuff but hoping to catch a few meals this time lol. I’m retired now so I’ll be going quite often and may even buy a small boat there.

I fished them a couple times in west palm. We used shrimp and small jigs. I cant fly fish worth a shit but they’re spooky
Worded poorly: i caught a couple, we weren’t targeting anything specificly. A guy from ma doesn’t care what he catches. Always blown away by the variety of fish down south
