Thanks,I only read the "Hobbit",forced to in high school,not really into Tolkien or much medeival,mystical stuff for some reason.

I never had a prob.w/alcohol,but I know that withdrawl is worse than dope and you can actually die going cold turkey w/a large alcohol tolerance,I only did the ritual teen drinking thing. I was a functioning opiate junkie for 25 yrs. though,never heroin,never shooting or crushing and snorting. Just liked to gobble a few pills ev. day. I'd wake up limping w/a mild plantar fasciatus in my foot and gobble an OC and be running 7 miles 2 hrs. later,always paid bills and never robbed or burdened anybody but myself as I'd ask the hard questions such as how am I going to stop,do I want to de a addict in my 60's. Finally I had a falling out w/my last supplier(I used to have 3 connects) and luckily it lit a fire in me and I had enough to ween off,but still it sucked,couldn't sleep,restless legs. I'm fortunate that I ended this before fentanyl started being made into counterfeit pills,what brought the opioids into focus was 1 the pill mills in Fl. and 2 young kids doing OC,then shortly graduating to dope over economics and dying sometimes in less than a yr. using. Like I said I was a functioning junkie and didn't take my eye off the ball in every other aspect of life and just that cycle was a bitch to break. When I see the amounts some people have to kick I don't know how they do it,I was not at a level where I'd get sick if I didn't use ev. 6 hrs. and how this Murdough guy could be taking 30 or more OC's a day is beyond my comprehension.With fentanyl things are even worse,why do these idiots lace coke w/fentanyl,makes no sense,a couple of people want a some blow to go to a party and not get tired drinking and have never used opiates can end up dead,one drug is a stimulant the other a powerful painkiller/downer it's crazy. From the Chinese perspective(if not mfg the fentanyl they supply the chems) it's another weapon hollowing out America from the inside weakening the country.

from another perspective (not necessarily my own) it's getting rid of people who make poor choices, have poor self control, poor genetics to begin with.
We need to start cooperating with other countries and shutting down the big labs china is supplying. Then we need to start sending the shit back to the chinese, kind of a "we know what the fuck you're doing." slap in their face...."Here China, i think you misplaced this poison within our country, please keep it within your own borders."

I'm not sure about the poor choices,we all have made them,people get high for all kinds of reasons and we'd be hard pressed to say people intend to be junkies,I can say my prob only required a self intervention,I didn't lie,cheat,steal,or burn bridges or become a untrustworthy,unreliable person. Mostly I regretted the $$$$ waisted, a hell of a lot of back breaking/stressful grows went to my habit. Most fentanyl (I've never had or tried it) is produced in Cartel labs in Mexico and they buy the precursers from China. About 5-6 yrs. ago people in the states were ordering it online from opaque Chinese companies. China has been confronted by the US and has taken half hearted action,and the feds along w/customs started hitting this pipiline hard. Being the entrepeneurs they are in came the Cartels,it's perfect for them no more poppy fields required and street heroin w/out fentanyl is now a rare commodity and they've taken over the pill market(heavy fed. crackdown on illegal pill mills and massive scrutiny of doctors writing scripts),by stamping out fentanyl laced knock off OC's Meanwhile it's now another Cartel superlab produced drug joining meth and cocaine and shipped thru the tried and tru Cartel methods into the US. As long as there is a demand and $$$$$$ to be made there will always be willing suppliers and stopping it is a game of whack-a-mole as any law enforcement will freely admit.

China does have some historical gripes,but it's the UK they should be mad at,they are responsible for the opium dens that hobbled China w/a generation of dependency and also for their hatred of Western colonialism not the US.

Seems like it's time for one of those joint operations that help build international cooperation.
The Mexican army, the American army, and the dea from both countries should stage a few dozen raids, very quickly, at both production facilities and the homes of higher ranking cartel members. Remove the hands and the head at the same time. Specifically look for those accepting those chinese precursor chemicals, and those delivering them.
It's time for stupid horseshit to stop. That's how you stop it. Don't leave anyone to make the deliveries, or accept them on the other end.

The only dragon that concerns me is the fire-breathing,tail lashing one headed by Mr. Xi,the most capable,challenging potential enemy ever to confront the US and the rest of the allied democratic world.

As for China, I associate them less with a dragon and more with a good recipe for duck.

Just about ev. joint op involving Mexico gets compromised by corruption,the larger the scale the better the chance for the Cartels getting tipped off by paid off officials. Look at the BS involving "El Chapo" , getting the Mexican gov. clean of the cancerous influence of corrupt drug payoffs is a job of epic proportions in itself. The Cartels are so powerful they give officials the silver($$$) or lead(cement shoes) proposition, The gov. captures one of Chapos sons(now in charge of Sinaloa) and a armed crew(w/heavy weaponry) about the size of a army company shows up a shoots up the police station making the gov. free him.
