I'd let them get a little bigger, maybe train them a bit and then let her rip. If height becomes an issue you can super crop.

I'll post more pics as days go but we'll evaluate again around 3/28 for a 4/1 flip. I've still got the mesh net to deploy and think Gorilla taping the corners to the poles should work.

It probably varies from one plant to another, but I think the usual recommendation is 1 week between transplanting and changing the light schedule.

Now that I can control my environment is there anything I should/can do to prevent PM?

You can order Banish for powdery mildew. Mix 1/4 tsp to 16 ounces in a spray bottle and spray once a week til its gone. If you want a hassle free grow, may I suggest fox farms ocean forest with the ff nutrient pack. It takes the guesswork out of things to have good soil. Just a thought. Cheers

This is the 3rd crop and I've ruled everything out but over watering so.... these have been on a low-water diet.

I'll give them 3 ounces of water right now.

Today the plants were watered and they each got 1/2 gallon of solution.

Mixed into a 1/2 gallon -

32 ounce plain water.
16 ounces mosquito dunk water
16 ounces of Dr. Earth tea using the Tomato, Vegetable & Herb fertilizer mixed as directed.

The Dr. Earth was added for the Trubiotics.

I hope the plants don't suffer from side effects:

• Gas.
• Upset stomach or throwing up.
• Not hungry.
• Stomach cramps.
• Dry mouth.
• Headache.

The plants are still living. In terms of size I estimate these need another month. I don't really want to wait another month and was thinking flip on the 1st. Seeds were dropped 1/10 - 75 days ago.

These are doing good so I'm thinking let them go in the three gals and up-size clones of these into 5 gal pots next cycle. Thoughts?

However, what would yield difference be letting these go a couple of more weeks and up sizing to 5 gals? They're in 3 gals right now.

The Dr. Earth (Premium Gold and Flower Girl) fertilizers arrived last Saturday. Getting ready to transplant from the 3 gals. to 5 gals. I'm waiting for the potted plants to dry out a little more from the last watering before transplanting.

I use paper towel to cover the holes keeping the Perlite from leaking > add about 3" (about 3 quarts) coarse Perlite as an over-water buffer > transplant using 100% FFOF. I'll be using a Dr. Earth Premium Gold tea as part of the transplant.

Interesting idea with the perlite, 3" seems a bit overkill though. You're losing out on valuable space for nutrient-rich soil.

I'd go with 1" max, if any at all. And skip the paper towels, just pack the medium tight against the holes and you won't lose any, it'll stick together on it's own once it gets moist.

Haven't transplanted yet.

I consider these plants to now be in the veg stage and tweaked the environment a little after looking at the VPD chart.

Raised tent temp to 80°F w/demand -3°F (77°F).
Changed RH demand to 62%.

The need for the humidifier in this tent is almost over do to the transpiration by the plants.

One plant needed water yesterday while the others were still kinda heavy so they didn't get any.

I'm combating what I think are Gnats again. Yesterday I was sucking them up from a window with a vacuum. The gnats aren't in the tent yet but I don't know where they are coming from. Last night I poured 2 cups of bleach down every drain and also ran bleach through a sump pump reservoir. Haven't seen any gnats today so hopeful. Bleach is over $6.50 a gallon at Big Box. I think the bleach at the $1.25 store is diluted so never buy from there.

Will continue with mosquito dunk water.

No doubt about the stems. The last time I was at the Hydro store I asked about AN Nirvana but the smallest container they had was one gallon so passed up. I wanted the 250ml but would go as high as 500ml. Nirvana is supposed to be a concentrated liquid organic.

$AMZN has the 250ml bundle for $31.68 so I just ordered a set.

I'll give three plants the AN as a test group.

My advice would be to keep things as simple and straight forward as possible until you get atlesst one or two successful grows. Don’t throw too much stuff at it. For example, I wouldn’t try theoretical stuff like a 24 hour dark period before 12/12. Just switch to 12/12. Up to you, but too much messing around usually doesn’t help. Let them do their thing.

The trio arrived today.

Last watering all plants got 2 cups Dr. Earth "Home Grown" tea solution to 1/2 gallon of water.

This watering:

1 and 2 got plain water. 3 didn't need watering but will get plain water.

4, 5, and 6 got AN Nirvana and Tarantula as directed in their water.

All water has mosquito dunk and is PH'ed to 6.5 after additives. We'll know by next Saturday if the AN stuff works.

A lot of people are outside today and I'm trying to be inconspicuous with these dark green plants. So far transplanted three (4, 5 & 6) from 3 gal. to 5 gal. today.

The first pic is of the stem (same stem as up there) that got the AN Tarantula/Nirvana. One week since and doesn't look like a change to me. I added AN Nirvana again today to 4, 5 & 6 as directed.

These are pics of 4, 5, and 6. They got PH 6.5, Mosquito dunk and Nirvana.

1, 2 & 3 will get 6.5 PH & Mosquito dunk.

I decided to ditch the Perlite at the bottom of the pots so these are all 100% FFOF.

Next weekend all the plants will get Dr. Earth Premium Gold, if watering is needed and launch into 12/12.

I may clone these later.

Looks like the transplant was a success. I haven't seen any Fungus gnats for two, three days. The plague has passed.

At 9:00PM 1/10/23 several seeds were wrapped in paper towel then dropped into a cup with 10 ml of unPH'ed water for germination. The cup is now on the 'fridge. I expect pops by Saturday.

While I'm waiting for these to pop I'll ready some red Solo cups with the organic soil. Later before transplanting from the red Solo's I'll choose an upgraded soil.

Here we go. If you feel the urge to intercept disaster chime in!
