The Ukrainians are targeting Russian military assets, while the Russians continue to waste munitions on war crimes that won't help them win the war. They probably wish they had the ammo and gun barrels they wasted on destroying Ukrainian cities for the past year. If they didn't commit those war crimes, they would still have plenty of ammo left, artillery is a very inefficient and expensive way to demolish a city.

Belarus is small, but after the Russians are fucked and cleared from the place, Ukraine can help them to keep the Russians from coming back and have a lot less Russian border to defend against. If Belarus goes, so too does Kaliningrad, their outpost on the Baltic, which will be a NATO lake. Ukraine will have Crimea and with it and an alliance with NATO member Turkey, will control the Black Sea. Vlad fucked the Russian military, economy, position in the world, made them a pariah nation for a generation and he fucked up so badly it could lead to the dissolution of the Russian empire.
