Ukrainian general lays out plans to bleed Russian troops in Bakhmut
Ukrainian troops preparing to be deployed in Bakhmut are briefed by Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi
as long as the Russian don't try to interfere, he should be ok....One year from now Zelenskiy faces election and I figure he wants Ukraine in the EU before he's done with the job. So, I wonder how he will do in the spring of 2024? If the Russians are gone from the mainland and at least on the ropes in Crimea, he should do ok I would think, I dunno how they could do better for a president than him, he rallied the nation and the international community to the country's cause and is providing excellent honest leadership with courage and integrity and that is reflected by the rest of the coalition government.
I think Zelensky will do better than Vlad politically in 2024, if Vlad is still around in 2024 and hasn't exited the world through a high window. Winning the war, beating the shit out of Russia militarily and diplomatically while ejecting them from Ukraine should do wonders for his polling numbers... Zelensky will have a victory tour of Europe one day and collect a heap of medals and honors along with enough honorary degrees to wallpaper a living room with.

The image of those multi-wheel vehicles reminded me of this:Shit like this is happening all over Europe as arms makers contract out to customer counties. They might build the new Leopard tank in Ukraine or a lot of it, energy and labor is cheaper there and they have very favorable trade arrangements with the EU.
Production of British Army's Boxer armoured vehicles begins

Production for the British Army's new Boxer armoured vehicle is under way in Telford, Shropshire.
The first welding on the first of 260 vehicles to be manufactured for the Army took place in the West Midlands, with around three a month set to be produced.
In total, the Army has ordered 623 Boxers, with the first vehicles set to be delivered next year.
I like the modularity and the fact they can change out top boxes to a half dozen different functions in under an hour, using the same basic chaises and drive train platform. The image of those multi-wheel vehicles reminded me of this:

Poorly made Chinese tires – A new theory on Russia’s slow advance
An interesting new theory has emerged explaining the slow advance of Russia’s armoured convoy into Ukraine, with online experts suggesting that substandard vehicle maintenance and poorly made Chinewww.defenceconnect.com.au
I wonder if the topic came up during Xi and Putin's meeting last week.
i highly doubt putin had time to bring much up, between Xi telling him how disappointed he was with putin's breaking his word about tactical nuke placement, and putin kissing his ass.The image of those multi-wheel vehicles reminded me of this:

Great. Now I'm on amazon checking out drones and know damn well if I get a cheap little starter drone it won't end there. Would be handy to be able to scare the magpies away from building nests in my woods tho.Two guys with rifles sitting in a trench vs 2 guys with a dozen or more drones and a shift to use them, who will kill more Russians in the opposing positions?
Assume these guys can put the receiver and transmitter antennas up on a 30-foot pole away from their position, (not hard to do) for better range... You use the same transmitter and just bind it to the new drone as you fire them up and setup the video channel then yer good to go, no GPS required, this is seat of yer pants flying WW1 style. Hopefully the guys with the Mavic drones and nice cameras have spotted your targets for you before ya ever take off.
Under 250 grams for planes and drones requires no pilot's license and if you go FPV you can use the goggles and transmitter for a variety of drones and planes. Here is what you can do for under 250 grams these days.Great. Now I'm on amazon checking out drones and know damn well if I get a cheap little starter drone it won't end there.
