Unfortunately, good or bad they all wear the same uniform and take the same orders, and they all look the same through a gunsight or drone camera. There are good people in russia...there are good people everywhere, just like there are bad people everywhere, but it seems like some places have a lot more bad people than good.
Most of russia's states that aren't populated with slavic russians seem to be decent people trying to make a living under the oppression of the slavics.
They get left overs, they get ignored, their racial heritage is attacked, they have to take shit jobs for even shittier wages, and they're used as cannon fodder and whipping boys for the sadists that stay in the russian military for just such opportunities.
It's too bad they can't be ignored on the battlefield, hope as many of them as possible get the chance to surrender.
I also hope that the slavic russians , the muscovy russians, are wiped out so badly that they will never be able to hold any kind of meaningful power again.

Not at all. Just being a realists about a war and commenting on a war thats been going for quiet some time. War's are interesting are they not?Pro Russian, after they went after the infastructure in order to freeze out the Ukrainians, on top of the war? Please come back down to reality.
Maybe but when trump wanted America to leave NATO the concern was Nato would fall apart. They would of had to of found more money- well Germany and France and England would of had to and they don't really need the rest of the other countries... Germany, France and England don't even trust each other- how could they?that is strictly your biases talking...and it's pretty fucking insulting to Europe.
While the US has the largest economy and the largest military budget, in a fairly apportioned NATO, all states give the same percentage of their budgets to protect ALL of their interests. All states also get an equal voice, and the right to withdraw their troops if that is their ultimate decision.
It will depend on when putin dies. I don't think any successor will have the will or desire to keep the debacle going. They can get a clean-ish exit by trying to hang it around putins neck and say that it died with him.Not all. Just being a realists about a war and commenting on a war thats been going for quiet some time. War's are interesting are they not?
Do you really believe that the war will be over this year?
For sure. If you cannot conquer destabilize and set back.We don't engage in wars with clear objectives. Spreading a lil capitalism in the form of "freedom/democracy" is what it is.
I do have faith in our ability to kill shit like nobody else.
If Putin dies then yea its all over fast. Next ending maybe the next Ukraine election in the first quarter of next year if Zelensky holds it. He may try to not hold it but that would look bad to democratic countries supporting him.It will depend on when putin dies. I don't think any successor will have the will or desire to keep the debacle going. They can get a clean-ish exit by trying to hang it around putins neck and say that it died with him.
It takes a few years to leave NATO after giving notice and by the time Trump got around to it, it would have been too late, so he just tried to piss everybody off at America and create bad blood among the members, pulling out of NATO would not have passed muster, even for him. He was a moron and know nothing and we are all fortunate that he was so utterly stupid and incompetent at anything but causing division and seducing idiots. Great power has the Donald over the weak minded, strong is the dark side with in him!Maybe but when trump wanted America to leave NATO the concern was Nato would fall apart. to the first question: was are interesting and they dynamics. War's are interesting are they not?

Ukraine is still the under dog in this war IMO. Its their land being turned to rubble and the international community for some reason just expects them to take back the land Russia has annexed in just a few short months- big ask and a heavy weight to carry and probably unrealistic. Then they have to keep it? They don't have the population to throw into a war like Russia does. Lots of Ukrainians are pro Russian. Lots of Ukrainians consider themselves Russian- Zelensky campaigned for his Presidency for closer ties with Russia so that could potentially cost him the Presidency at the election next year. A pro Russian party may look good for people living in rubble with no money, no food or heat.It seems really really unlikely that zalenzky would lose.
Maybe it's a cultural thing, but I can't imagine being a Ukrainian and not wanting to continue the fight. Arm chair quarterbacking as we are, sure there is an argument for coming to the table, but not in reality. My guess is that every Ukrainian has had a loved one killed by the invaders, for quite a few I would guess it's several. How do you not take revenge? Asking them to just take it on the chin and give up and accept the invasion is something that just seems so far outside of the realm of human nature I can't buy it.
The Ukrainians spirit didn't get broken. I don't think you can accept an invasion until that happens.
Then again, I'm armchair quarterbacking as well, perhaps many are willing to cut their losses. I can't really imagine what it would be like. I'm picturing a dad with one kid and that kid got killed (or stolen...wtf vlad), my existence would then become killing as many of them as possible, preferably in their own homes as they slept. But on the other hand, perhaps you have 2 kids and want to try and save/take care of the remaining one so you just want it to end.
Russia has held some of it for years. The newer territories might be a little easier but gaining ground in a ground war after the initial tussle is a slog. Look at the long stale mates that are part of European war. Will see what happens, seems like a hard sell as I would assume they know who turned their country to rubble. Tough way to win support.
No clue on how the local whatnots work, but holding the territory seems like it would be more of an issue for the invaders than the people who were already there. My guess is the local residents don't care, but again back to the first point, they probably do now.
What European war of the last 100 years involved long stalemates?Russia has held some of it for years. The newer territories might be a little easier but gaining ground in a ground war after the initial tussle is a slog. Look at the long stale mates that are part of European war.
We aren't allowing them to take the war into russia, because NATO is full of motherfucking cowards who tremble at the thought of putin's nuclear arsenal...The russians may have more men, but they don't have enough decent weapons or ammuniton for the men they already have, and NONE of those available to be recruited are willing to go, they will have to be shanghai'ed off the streets and forced into uniform...they've already cleaned out prisons and mental institutions for "recruits".Ukraine is still the under dog in this war IMO. Long way to go for Ukraine.
This conflict does not have those conditions once the Russians are driven to the borders and their road and rail infrastructure inside their borders is destroyed, they can't come back. The Russians are nearly spent after an infantry offensive largely in the mud against defenses and a prepared killing grounds and they keep on feeding masses of troops into it. The Ukrainians have been constantly training new troops most of them young men, most of the people holding the line and killing Russians are older territorials with many veterans among them and supported by regular army troops. They have been receiving massive amounts of armor and arms too and constantly training and preparing. They will be ready, and the Russians will not, it's like Vlad is sleep walking into disaster and is powerless to avoid his fate, some around him say Vlad has gone mad. What European war of the last 100 years involved long stalemates?
You underestimate how much of a putin tool trump is....trump would sell his daughter for putin, and probably has.It takes a few years to leave NATO after giving notice and by the time Trump got around to it, it would have been too late, so he just tried to piss everybody off at America and create bad blood among the members, pulling out of NATO would not have passed muster, even for him. The reason the front has been nearly static is because that has been the cheapest way for Ukraine to feed Russian assets into the rock crusher. They’d be worse off had they traded the aggressor, offensive for offensive. This conflict does not have those conditions once the Russians are driven to the borders and their road and rail infrastructure inside their borders is destroyed, they can't come back.
