Media: Russian law enforcement finds fake passports, cash suitcases at Prigozhin's office
Law enforcement agencies have raided the Trezzini Hotel in St. Petersburg, which is believed to be the office of Wagner PMC head Yevgeny Prigozhin. Earlier, the FSB opened a criminal case against the businessman for a military mutiny.
According to Fontanka, during the search, five kilogram bars of gold, cash currency in dollars, six pistols, five kilogram briquettes of white powder (the publication did not specify what kind of powder) were found, as well as several passports with a photograph of Yevgeny Prigozhin on different the names are Dmitry Geiler, Oleg Semenov and Dmitry Bobrov.
According to Financial Times, 6 pistols and 4 B Rbs (worth $47 M US) stuffed in boxes were also found in the minivan. Two other busses filled with cash were also found.
It looks like Prigo was planning a well subsidized exit from the country. A Wagner spokesman says they pay for everything with cash, including payments to families of soldiers KIA, which might explain the other two vans.
