With FPV drones there are many different simulators, there are a couple of assisted flight modes, but it is pretty much completely manual. Everybody flies FPV in rate, or acro mode, or is told to learn to, it is completely manual, and it is hard to even hover, not like flying a DJI which you kinda remote control. I hook up my standard RC flight transmitter via USB and could use goggles too, but nobody does, the idea being to build those physical skills like riding a bike or swimming, a kind of learning you don't forget, but it takes practice and experience. After a time, you are unconscious of the controller in your hands and are immersed in the visual experience, you don't think about driving your car, you just drive it.
Here is my first run on an FPV sim after some experience breaking drones and repairing them, but FPV drones are made to be crashed and repaired by the owner, with tough carbon fiber frames and cheap parts to stick on it.
