Examples of Democratic Party leadership

Don't these people recognize the "norms" that will be established through their backing of this twisted, distorted, self absorbed "man" will pave the way for the extinction of the Freedom and Rights that they violently defend, and that they may also be classified as" vermin "some day if they run afoul of the "movement".
Umm, likely not. A very great many of the most extreme ‘trad-value’ populations have been wound up to the point of believing that extreme measures are required to keep Satan from defeating Gawd in the next election, up to and including ditching the constitution & declaring “Marsha Law”.

I 100% believe that the result of any such thing would be the worst thing to ever happen to this nation & its people. I also 100% believe that they (most? some, at least) can’t and won’t see it until it’s too late

It would be the worst thing to happen to the world since the last comet strike, in my opinion

Things like that are best left to dystopian fantasy novels (did you know that Amazon has (had) many such titles: lone-wolf ‘Christianlibertarian’ apocalypse survival porn?

I don't know if Donald changed the course and nature of conservatism in the US or if their change in status from majority to minority voter status is why they removed the flags that draped over their white robes or brown shirts. I'm of the opinion that they always had been anti-democratic or better put, for democracy with limits. They became more and more radicalized when they saw women, black, brown, asian, gay and trans people exercise the rights and gain status that white men took for granted as being their own. I never forget that the young men in this photo are the MAGA of today.

They have become the old guys. Proud Boys are standing in their place as their threat for mayhem. But they are every bit as dangerous and prone to violence as they ever were. What has changed is, they aren't a super majority and will soon become a plural group but not a majority on their own. Which is why they are working hard to cut back on voting rights and access to the polls. If Trump wins in the fall, they might just manage to pull it off. It's not certain who will win right now.
Too late. Not even an ordinary majority now; weren’t an actual majority 40 years ago.

The political majority is an artifact, the result of the desegregation of schools in the US (black edition)

After the Brown decision in ‘56 we saw a wave of tax refusers, school-system closures & the innovation of ‘school vouchers’ - state-funded tuition for white, Christian private schools. Almost EVERY wrong-wing economic policy/position from Ludwig von Mises to Milton Friedman, “public choice” to means-testing was cooked up beginning in that period.

If you remember HRC talking about a “vast right-wing conspiracy” in ‘99, the effort she referred to was hatched during this same time. Thank Charlie Koch for that.

(I confess, I was watching that interview, and I laughed my ass off. Despite the study & research I’d performed for decades, I still lacked crucial information: not laughing any more)

That Marsha Law is one controlling Karen with a belt-fed accessory.

We've also never had such a irresponsible Pres(ex Pres.) throw around such inciting words either,he get's off on playing word "jujitsu",laced w/double meanings, once questioned by a reporter on a preposterous, unfounded claim,he responded " I'm just throwing it out there",well I'm throwing it out there that he is a crackpot,"Missles at Mexico",Shoot up bleach, for Covid",the guy belongs hawking Sham Wow on late night infomercials,TTTTTTTRUMPHEAD.Never have I been into politics until 2016 and never have elections been based solely on keeping a candidate out of office with issues relegated to background noise. So many former members of his staff have spoken out,he never disassociated from his business's,He has more shit for sale than a NFL franchise,he suckers chumps into paying his legal defenses,a former Pres. selling stupid ass computer images. He sets a bar so low that a ant could pole vault it.And yet they still follow like cattle on a conveyor belt to the Trump chew em up and spit em out slaughterhouse.

I came across this in a list that popped up next to the vid that popped up because I didn't get to my computer in time to keep utube from switching to something I didn't want to see. And so, this caught my eye because I didn't want to see what utube wanted me to see.

Just seven years ago, soon to be former president Obama gave his resignation speech to the nation. Soooo classy. I miss the time before a former president refused to leave office after losing an election fair and square.

Don’t know how I missed this at the time…this is WONDERFUL!
(Even better than the ‘Luther the Anger Translator’)

THAT is a fucking PRESIDENT, the best one we’d had in a very long time
We are insanely fortunate to have Joe in the job…& I NEVER would have believed that my assessment of him would change so much over time. Then again, I see evolution happening around me every day

NOT his “resignation” speech - still had 9? months in office
White House Press Corps Presidential Dinner. Annual thing, almost always edgy & controversial: the one hosted by Stephen Colbert when Shrub was prez is jaw-dropping. Look up Luther the anger translator on YT, too. It’s a press roast of the president & his admin/policies, and the prez gets to fire back & roast the ecosystem. Trump never attended one as President; IIRC TFFG was mightily offended by something Obama said at one of these (TFFG being *in the room at the time*) & he hasn’t been back since

(boilerplate: there’s things I think Joe should & shouldn’t do, things I wish he would & wouldn’t do, and I feel right strongly about a bunch of ‘em. I’m the same principled constitutional conservative I was raised to be & always have been, and I’m strict about it, the rule of law, and the common law - which our entire cultural thinking about what’s okay & what’s not (civil & criminal) is based…& I’ve had the same basic issues & concerns w/ every administration I’ve lived under. 14 presidents, starting w/ Truman. I was as informed as I could be at the time, each time, & I’ve invested the time & attention to stay as informed as I could/can

Joe is far from the worst president of my lifetime: every “republican” president since Eisenhower is collected @ the bottom of the bag. They were all hired in support of an agenda that seeks to take the country away from the voters by fooling enough of them to support their own demise, and only their ‘personal styles’ distinguish them from the never-presidential con-artist-in-chief we’re still trying to scrape off the national footwear.

OTOH, I put Biden & Obama w/ Kennedy as the most emblematic of the USA at its best, & most successful at embodying the sacred kingship inherent in his position: imperfect, rueful sometime, but good-hearted, well-meaning, willing to own up to their own mistakes, and doing their best to cope with the rapidly-changing situations across a vast nation

That we have had THREE such men in the office in 75 years is as close to a miracle as I’ll ever see: if that’s not the equivalent of god blessing American, then I guess god is just not IN the America-blessing business

I’m hard-pressed to speak ill of Carter either. And Clinton (his ambiguity about the meaning of “is” notwithstanding) gave us that wonderful thing: a year or two of budget surplus.

Johnson (and his appointing MacNamara!) was the weakest of the bunch imo. As a Texas Democrat, he was more Texas than the other thing.
