Yep, the anticipation is killing me, but gives me time to map out the next run. DP Critical Orange and Night Owl has peeked my interests as well.

Finished up 5 weeks today! Slightly better than watching paint dry. Now they are stretching pretty fast. Should start stacking here in about a week. Last week when I top dressed with fresh soil and ewc I have learned to always put the yellow sticky traps up just in case anything tries to hitch a ride in, you want a heads up asap. Don't see anything so I think we are good. Going to start some seaweed extract and fish bone meal the next feed. Seems as if 2 of my Double Grape are gonna be runts but ya never know till ya grow, right? Getting some really good citrus/lemon smell coming from the Trizzler. I'm also liking the structure on the Green Crack. Right now I have my DLI at 40. Well, til next time, you all have fun and grow em BIG!

6 weeks down today. Now they are starting to get a little more interesting. Got there 2nd feed of bloom nutrients. This weekend I'll be hitting them with another ewc/soil top dress and a shot of recharge. The Trizzler from. 20 Twenty grew stupid in the stretch. Way too much node spacing. Almost 4 feet tall. It was free so not expecting a whole lot. The Green Crack from Blimburg is shaping up nicely. No frosting yet but won't be long before they start. Everyone have a great weekend and happy growing!

7 weeks old today! Now, they are starting to get after it. I'm going to get a tea brewing later this week and apply this weekend. They are really taking a liking to the fishbone meal. That freebie Trizzler did hit 45 inches before the stretch was over. The Double Grape is smelling very Grape like. Keeping the temperature right at 68 degrees lights out and 73ish lights on. R/H staying steady at 50%. So far this has been pretty smooth. Trust me, when you get to my age, smooth is a good thing. Everyone have fun, enjoy and keep growing BIG!

That's a wrap on week #8. Did my 2nd top dress of FFOF. That will help in the fade. I also brewed a tea with ewc and molasses with a small handful of FFOF on Tuesday. Just before I took these pictures I gave them seaweed and bone meal. So they are a lil droopy now but will be at attention here in a few hours. Maintaining temps 76 lights on and the last 2 weeks bump up the lights 5% a week. Sitting on 70% power. DLI is right at 46 so pushing them theses next 2 weeks then plan to back it down after that. That's all I git for now. I hope everyone is doing well, have fun and grow em BIG!

Week #9 ended yesterday. From the looks of things, about 3 maybe 4 weeks to go. This will be the last week at the current DLI of 46. I will start backing down on the leds for the last 2 to 3 weeks. They are still taking in water/feed well every 3 days.

Wow! That's some light, my girls topped out at 33. They couldn't take anymore than that. Are you running a different cultivars next? Be curious to see what each type can take. Good work

With the Mephisto double grape I had no issues with lighting at all. They loved the lights. Now if you zoom in on the top of the tallest plant in the tent, on the right, you can see that she did not. That plant is a Trizzler from 20 Twenty Mendocino. I also have a green crack in the tent and she is doing fine with lighting. So I think your on point that some do well and others not so much. I am running quantum boards and that makes things more difficult. That's why I had to move it to an area of the tent with less intense lighting. My next run I am leaning on running less plants. I want to see if 3 or 4 in a 5 x 5 will produce better yields, rather than trying to fit 6 or 8 in the tent. Totally open on suggestions on the next run. I really like what Mephisto does, and would recommend to anyone, but still chasing that perfect auto strain. I have run their gear the last 3 runs and feel it's time to look at a different breeder. So if you have something in mind, by all means don't be shy. I have been keeping an eye on your projects as well and you have some fire growing in your tent.That Fatjoe seems to be killing it too. Keep doing what your doing coz it is working!

Them quantum boards are crazy intense, I love them! Strain dependent definitely, and the DLI is a common language everyone can apply.

I like the less plants. They say less is more! I've heard great things about Mephisto, I actually planned on doing a summer auto run with thier gear.

There are so many breeders. My suggestion would be a Community Journal run. The data available is insane, and of course the comradery.

Maybe I'm just not geared for autos. I can't seem to generate enough plant size to have at least a decent yeild.

Perhaps I train to much. I dunno. These two plants are 4 weeks from seed. Flowering and not much stretch at all. I'll be lucky to get a few zips for 70+ days of growing verses 8+ with a photo.


If these pop out a little more I'll throw a screen on top and let them finish...that's a big if.

Man I like the way you think! I'm always looking for a better way to find the best of what it is you're looking for. I normally do two runs a year, as I can grow more than what I can smoke in just 1 run. I'm also a giving kind of grower or like ohio law states (gifting).
Leaning to use my 480 watter to veg, and pickup on a HLG Diabo 750 X for flower. I vent directly outdoors so heat should not be an issue.
If that is the direction I'm headed, I'll have to go back to lst to even the canopy out. Need to quit being such a lazy grower. I really like growing in living soil but, at 63 I might have to look at alternative methods. Those 5 gallons can get a bit heavy on feed days.
And finally I totally agree. Ohio does does represent well.

I'm watching you now. Maybe pick up some pointers for these autos. And your right. Ya gotta be on your game with autos. So little room for error. I burnt up my first run with them. Did the old feed them like a photo gig and it was a disaster..lol Now I've backed way off with food and they do okay but damned if I can get any size outta them.

I have the ones pictured above in 5gal pots. I've used 3gal before and they got pretty tight on the roots so I upgraded this time to see if I get a bigger plant...yeah right...lol. Maybe I'm just spoiled with photos...lol

Autos are a different breed for sure. When it comes to small size I truly believe that is mostly genetics for the most part. Now I can tell you this. When I ran photos exclusively, in 5 gallon bags.I water/feed every 3 day's 1 gallon per bag and they were always hungry. For me, autos in 5 gallon bags 1/2 gallon every 4 days. And 1/4 to 1/2 on feed. That's why I think it is more a genetics thing. I also run with a total of 5 fans in the tent, along with my inline fan. They seem to like a lot of air movement. Finicky to say the least.

One other thing. Autos like the lower temperature range. I rarely exceed 76 degrees. Unlike 80/83 for my photos. Grow em BIG brother!

Today is day 69. 10 weeks tomorrow. Not my best work by far but, still another 2 to 3 weeks to go. I did not hit the transition from veg to flower very well. Should of started the addition of nitrogen earlier. Missed it by 2 weeks and they started to bitch for nitrogen but I missed the change. Shit happens! I think I'll still smoke em. Just not the yeild I wanted to see. So, I'm really wanting to run some kind of skunk heavy strain. Give me some auto skunk heavy ideas if anyone knows of. Happy growing to all!

I'm not understanding your transition you mentioned. Adding N in higher doses at the flip can cause some heavy stretching. Or is that what you were seeking?

Hey man thanks for the kind words. No really I had stuff going on and did not put in the time and or effort that normally I would. I wasn't very clear in explaining where I dropped the ball. I use FFOF soil, but I amend the soil with bloodmeal, perlite, bone meal and add ewc. I also layer in additional bonemeal near the bottom of the pot. With that said, the soil alone just needs water the first 5 weeks. I hit that 5 week mark and started additional sea weed extract and bonemeal, but did not give any nitrogen. That's why I said they started to bitch (yellowing and starving for nitrogen). With autos there is zero room for error. It's all good! Always a learning experience!
