LOL . that is the damn truth too.
the worst thing to happen in history was to allow women to vote. the next worst thing was to allow non property owners to vote.

Fire arms saftey should be taught in your senior year at high school. Have the students go to the local police range and give them a two week course. Basic rules on self defence, hunting saftey and what-not.

Some of these people are so city-fied they are afraid of guns. They need to be introduesed to them.

I can't believe you said that. I can't believe that woman all those years ago let people with a penis think they were in control.

Could you be more of a douche bag?

It seems people with penis' have been raping us financially for hundred of years. Maybe some of us women who know how to get shit done should take over. Put all your asses into work camps.

Oh boy, here we go. Personally, I think we wouldn't have an unemployment problem if women would not be allowed to work anymore. :) But the way things are a family man can not support a family with ony one worker in the house.

Well as far as property owners only getting the vote thats fine but anyone who does not own property should not have to pay taxes. No taxation with out representation.

well,
most criminals get their guns because they break into people's homes that have guns and they steal them,
or people with asshole children steal them from their parents and sell them in the ghetto.
Point is most of the firearms that are in the hands of criminals were stolen from law abiding citizens, or stolen from somewhere, a gun shop, pawn shop, or bought the same way I bought my AK, a newspaper ad!

People should have guns, but there needs to be waiting periods to purchase all guns (rifles, shotguns, handguns etc.), there needs to be extensive backround checks that include medical records (the thought of that scares me, I don't want the gov't knowing my medical profile) to weed out mental illness.
All private sales of firearms must be prohibited. period.
The stereotype of "assault rifles" is bullshit, because that could mean any hunting rifle with a large clip added aftermarket.
Education is key to the problem, both at school and at home, as well as honestly by the media (no stereotypes about assault rifles, afterall, most crimes are commited with handguns)

Could you be chiding the assault rifle laws maybe because you own one? If you owned a bazooka, would you want those legalized as well? Hey I own an AK/SK semi-auto assault rifle, a damn good cheap gun, well they are cheap in other parts of the world. In Africa, the average price for an AK, full auto, is somewhere between 25 and 50 bucks. And, I also don't want to see the asault rifle ban to go into effect. It only applies to the sale of assault rifles, not ownership, but most gun nuts fear that is next, I don't.

Ah, but what constitutes mental illness? See thinking the government may not have your best interest at heart may be a mental illness. Ever called a Conspiracy theorist paranoid? Either it is a right or it is a privledge. Gun ownership is a right it doesn't matter what you think about guns everyone has the Right to defend him/her self. This is a Natural right, every animal has a right to defend itself.

The only reason they would want to get rid of assault rifles is because the cops are scared of them, The cops should be. People are getting fed up many don't really even know why they are fed up, but they are. Wether its the war, globalization, taxation, bailouts, wiretaps, gun grabs, drug laws, unemployment, debt, Rendition, Helpless feeling, no change in government policy after elections, people are pissed off. These people know the gig is almost up for them, they gotta keep the music playing.....or else.

Yeah, sweet, My AK/SK can go right through those Kevlar vests. If they dont have the steel plate, they're toast. The deal is anyway, head shots on cops, preferably at a distance with a scope and a good deer rifle. My 7MM Mag will get the job done, at an 1/8th mile easy, even longer possibly. I've read that a 7mm mag can be effective up to a mile with the right scope, although I find that a little unreasonable.

Med Man, you're so silly.

I know, It's a good thing I'm only fantasizing about my guns, eh. If I had all those guns, I certainly wouldn't be talking about them on a web site, right? I'm only talking big to get recognition, I have no guns, ~LOL~.

First of all, a bazooka, RPG, etc. are not considered firearms but ordinance or artillery. Just because our definition of arms has changed doesn't mean we can't go back and look at the language and definitions of words used in the 18th century to gain perspective.

As to the assault weapons ban (not assault rifle, as they are already illegal), it did not affect only sales. It also affected grandfathered weapons from being altered. I had a pre-ban SKS that if I added certain aftermarket furniture like a synthetic stock kit to it, would have made it illegal.

When I was considering buying mine (I have no Guns) it came with a one piece stock, with a hole where your thumb was supposed to go, ugly as hell. If I'd of bought it and changed the stock to a real AK stock, it would have been illegal, That's exactly what I had in mind. From now on, I am not claiming ownership of any guns on this site. (For all practical purposes, any prior admittance of ownership was nullified last weekend at the gun show when I sold every last one of them.)

I don't even like guns, and I know that gun control is bad.

Everyone should own a gun, even if you don't keep it at home.

I'm going to be buying a number of guns pretty soon here...

I feel all guns should be subject to the same laws, not any 1 type of gun.
What I said was that the classification of an assault rifle is a political one. an "assault weapon" typically uses a hunting rifle cartridge, there is really no difference beetween my AK 7.62x39mm and my 308 hunting rifle, except the high capacity magazine, and the ak isn't quite as accurate.

I fully support gun ownership, people do have a right to defend themsevels. It is however not a right to buy an ak out of the newspaper for 200 bucks, with no questions asked, and no waiting period.

It is not a right to go to a gun show and through the gun show loophole be able to purchase guns no questions asked, sometimes from people in parking lots. This is seriously absurd.
I understand there are many people that are fanatics about guns, hillbillies I call them, NRA members is another name for them. These types of people feel that there should be absolutley no restrictions or registration on weapons whatsoever.
Ignorance is bliss to some of these people. They feel that a restricion or waiting period on gun ownership is the first step in "taking our guns", well, that is a little rediculous.
this really should just be a common sense issue. Not a republican/democrat issue.
Is it reasonable to be able to purchase a firearm with absolutley no waiting periods, and a backround check that only asks if you are a felon? NO, it isnt.
Why would someone need a firearm that badly that they can't wait a week or 2? Perhaps there deer rifle broke and next day is opening day, I could understand that, but that is not going to be to commonplace, as most hunters own a couple different rifles, and spend the weeks prior to the season making sure everything is working perfectly.
