i have fallen in love with super cropping... even though the results are the consistant, i am still amazed at the results i get... nothing is better than super cropping in the after noon and walking in to the grow room in the morning and seeing a huge growth spurt...
which brings me to a theory i have been working on.. and i am sure its already been said.. but i think that super cropping actually increases your growth rate of your plant... and here is why...
first, lets talk about what super cropping does.. it pushes the lower growth up by making that plant think it has no top... so some/all/most of the growth that would be low on the plant is now towards the top... what that means is there is more growth near the light source... more of the plant catching more light equals more growth, faster growth, and healthier growth... well the healthier was just thrown in there to make it sound good.. i dont know if super cropping actually makes the plant healthier.. unless you count where the stems thicken up so much at the super crop location..
the other part of it that makes me think it increase growth is because of the transfer of auxins that occurs.. when you top/super crop/fim it moves the growth hormones from the top of the plant to the tips of all the other shoots... this means an increase in growth rate on all the other shoots... at least i think it does.. or as far as i can tell it does... in my situation..
does this make sense to anyone else?? or has any had similar ideas/theories/experinces with super cropping??
i may post this in the general discussion forum itself just to see what people say.. but i dont know yet..
