The yellowing leaves is a good sign, it means that its using its energy in the leaves to survive... Have you got any foliar feed ? (I used Vitalink for mine) It helps alot... another sign - is the bottom of your clones, the stem starts to bloat out - Thats how I knew my clones had rooted before I saw the new growth! I'v added some pics to give you an example (Don't laugh at my babies... it was my 1st attempt.. lol)

Here they are -

first pic = Big Bang.
second pic = Big Bang.
third pic = BB Clone 1.
fourth pic = BB Clone 2.
fifth pic = White Widow 1.
sixth pic = White Widow 2.
The Big Bang is coming on a treat - less than a week in the grow room under the 600w HPS and she has shot up - really pleased with the results.
i know so i chickened out on putting the widows in the grow room but as soon as i can get some bigger pots and they need to be transplanted they are going in with the big bang. :leaf:

I pulled the clones out of the soil to see if they had rooted yet and they hadn't but there was like a larger white mass at the end of the stem. :wall:

Oh and before i forget the green House Seed Company have approved a replacement seed pack for me joe and i should receive them in 10-14 days - watch this space!

I use my phone camera.. sony ericsson W810.. 2.0mega pixels.. its old but it works ok..its got a good macro setting.. still gotta get me a good quality camera though.. shame you can't grow em'
I get rid of those annoying lines by adjusting my brightness higher and then take a pic through a lens from a pair of sunglasses..
but i've come to find that when the light is first turned on in the mornings, you can get a really good clear pic before the yellow kicks in..:-P or turn the light off for 15minutes and keep a fan blowin on it and when you turn it back on.. hey presto.. great photo lighting...gotta be quick and take as many as you can though cause they aint always spot on..
Good Luck.. :eyesmoke:

cheers joe - yeah man the second clone aint lookin too clever, i left the bag off her for like 2 hrs instead of just 1 hour the other night and when i returned she had all shriveled up around the growth tip - gutted. Hope she pulss through.

Cammera is on my sony ericson W80i - 3.2mp, not too bad and the ones i took last night were throuigh a sunglass lens - will have to adjust the brightness up before the next one, cheers. I got the missus a sony cybershot for xmas (10mp) so that 'she' can take some photos like!! Ha-Ha got to love those pressies you buy for her that are partly for you too!! anyway i took some ace pics of the BB and tried to upload but they were too big so how do people but the high quality pic on here????

As for the WW's they are moving in as soon as i have the bigger pots for them - they will be 4 weeks old come the 24th so that may be a good day to move them in.

Also thought of an idea for my fan / filter / temp probs - if i attach the filter to my fan the temps gop up to 30c, so what if i keep the filter off until i start to flower then attach it and have my lights on during the night when temps are lower and will hopefully never go over 30c. What do you guys reckon?

I hope she pulls through aswel man, i got my fingers crossed for her..

About the pic size, you should be able to adjust it so it will upload smaller.. look for 'Picture Size' in your camera settings, i have mine on medium..or if you go on photobucket you can upload em on there and then copy the link in the post..should come up big screen size..but i haven't got round to signing up yet..

Yea man, if you can't really smell anyting then just have it off for now, the best ting to do is to go outside for a fag or sumint and then come back in and have a good ol' whiff...my ol'dear is a great odour detector! if she can smell sumint then she will tell me..
After time your nose will come a custom to the smell, so going in and out to check is always good, :eyesmoke:
I can't see no harm, i think that would be a good idea, when i get back to work, i will have the new grow set up so the lights come on when i get home and go off when i go to work, that way you can always keep a good eye on dem..no point coming home everyday and you can't check on em cause its lights out..

pics:

1. cabinet crew - 2 x WW 2 x BB clones.
2. BB clone 1 (2 weeks old).
3. BB clone 2 (2 weeks old).
4. WW 1 (4 weeks old).
5. WW 2 (4 weeks old).
6. BB (6.5 weeks old) side view.
7. BB (6.5 weeks old) above view.

Right - first of all please don't laugh at my shrivelled up sad excuses for big bang clones, tis about more than mere cosmetic beauty as underneath the soil the first signs of life to come are there in the form of early roots - although the better looking one of the 2 has only just started to put out a root the other has a root about 3" long!
I am hoping that these signs of roots will mean that the clones bounce back but ill have to wait and see.

As for their mum she is looking ace now at 6 weeks old - 4.5 weeks under the 63w of cfl's in my cabinet and 1.5 weeks under the 600w hps in my grow room, this is why she is only just over a foot tall at her age.
She had a litre of full strength nutes last night (by full strength i mean biobizz grow @ 1ml/litre - half the dose they recomend but full strength based on advice given to half what manufacturers say to give).

The widows are looking great at 4 weeks old and i reckon they will just about fit in the cabinet until saturday when i can get the new big pots (will try and get 20l square if poss), transplant and place them in the grow room.

Will also bite the bullet and buy a proper ex.fan on wednesday, i just can't live with 30 degrees + when mine is attached to the filter, reckon i will just get the fan & filter deal cos atleast then i know its the correct kit to go together whereas my DIY filter might not work - this way i can try my DIY filter out but have the proper filter to fit if it doesn't work (they need changing every so often anyway right?)
I am going to get the same as you joe - you not had any problems yet with it? theres a shop about half hours drive from me doing the TT100mm fan / carbon filter / 3m ducting / quick release clips and aluminium tape for £53.00.

Blimey - sorry for waffling on loads, see you next time!

Give me your thought lads - especially on the fan / filter side of things , oh another thing - i put all that cat litter in my tray in my grow room so i could pour water onto it and raise the RH but it also absorbs the smell completely, admittedly its just veg smell but before i added the klitter it was starting to smell a bit - now its fine. just wondering if this will help alot in flowering/ anyone tried cat litter like this?

Wow man, Everything is looking quite healthy! Clones are little worse for wear but if they have roots then they will pull through!

Im down to 1 clone now, my bro decided he wanted to have a go at mumming 1 for a semi-perminent supply of cuttings... good call!
Iv also transplanted mine into its Veg pot now, 2 weeks and I'll probably flower her off!

Cheers Red - no one else interested???

Yeah i know the clones don't look to good - did i cut stems that were too short? who knows but fingers crossed they'll pull through, the worse looking one look like it has some new growth coming through - lovely jubbly.

As for the fan / filter situation - joe do you feel that your fan is powerfull enough? given the choice would you get a 5" or 6" fan / filter? The reason i ask is because i want to make sure my fan is pulling more air out than is going in, therefore creating a vacuum so that smelly air cant escape through any nooks and crannies in the door and giving the game away.

Sorry to waffle on again!!

Personally, i'm going for the TT150 for my next project..its just that little bit better and i should be able to fit it straight onto my filter, at the minute, i have to have a little piece of ducting just to connect the fan to it....pain in the arse!
You should be good with the TT100 but i would ask them if they have any filters that would fit on to it...
my problem is i'm always in and out and the smell escapes, it also sticks to your clothes, so be careful if you gotta go anywhere after you have been in there wiv dem, i've put a white lab coat in the room, so i put that on instead of the clothes i've been wearing outside, just to stop any unwanted friends joining the party...
Its me waffling on now!

by the way the WW's and your BB look very good man :weed: shame about the cuttings, you live and you learn i guess, lets hope they make it..

Yeah mate live and learn - with the clones i think i went wrong in a few places 1) took the cuttings too early ie. not long enough 2) didn't cut another 45 degree cut off the bottom of the stem 3) left the bags off them for too long one night when they were only a week old, even after all that shoddy care tho the little girls have grown roots - amazing! hope they recover fully.

so the next size up fan wise you reckon? Been thinking the same thing myself joe and found some good deals on the 5" TT fan / filter / ducting combo on fleabay (loving the fleabay i must say!).

Just off to check on your thread mate......

oh and nice tip about the lab coat - does it make you feel like some mad skunk weed growing scientist mate!!!

Fleabay - ebay??? Cheap as chips mate - found a new fan that is dirt cheap at around £15 - 5" inline fan that i will just attach to my current ducting further along from the existing fan. This way will mean i have 2 fans 1 at a measley 72m3/hr and the other new one at 107m3/hr so i can have some control over the temps without buying a controller - ie. both on in summer - just the weaker one on in full winter - the more powerful in spring!

Get this - Green House Seed Co. sent me a replacement pack of Big Bang Fem!!!! approved by franco himself and not only the free seeds but a nice long sleeve white rhino t-shirt, some car stickers, white rhino patch (to sew onto jacket), one of those things you wear around your neck and clip your phone / ipod to and a grow DVD. How cool is that - when i asked for some freebies i kind of meant some free seeds but to get the Big Bang replaced along with all the merchandise has left me well chuffed. My faith in Green House is well on the way to being restored!! Cheers Franco.

Got 2 off the Big Bang in Germination tub right now.

will post some pics tomo.

cheers Redeye - thought as much just needed to hear it from someone before throwing them away - looking at your clone (well done by the way - looks ace) proves this.

Chuffed with the rest of the gang tho and hopefully when i return from work later i might see something above the surface!

one last try for thge clones tho - could i try and cut the tops off inbetween the kleaves to see if owt grows back - since they both have good roots now

Hi folks - not too many interested in my thread???

i know its a bit boring with no buds but trust me there on the way soon!!!

I am new to the art of mj cultivation and i now know that my cabinet doesn't have enough light to veg plants quickly. From now on the cab will be used to keep a mum, start off seeds and root clones.

However, i have started 2 more BB seeds - the first 2 pics are the first day after planting from germination the second 2 pics are day 2 (today).
One of these will be my Big Bang mum which i will try to keep in a bonsai style and copy Ot1's thread.
The other i will attempt to LST and FIM. I figure that since these seeds were a replacement pack from GHS i will risk experimentig with one of them!

The next pics are:
-the BB at almost 2 months veg - only 3 weeks of that time under the 600w HPS, the rest in the cab (should be bigger i know).
-the biggest of the WW's at 5 1/2 weeks veg but only went into the grow room 3 days ago.
