I can't decide what to remove if anything.... I've never really removed anything before, just let it ride. I don't want popcorn this time though and she's starting to flower. 6 days in and little development so far. How do you decide what to remove and what not to? I mean, some of it is obvious to stay but I can't pick and choose very well lol on the questionable ones.

If you are talking about removing lower branches when flowering I just put one in and took off the four lowest branches. You can see what ones atern't going to put out much bud. It also helps that I just took down a plant so it was fresh in my mind what branches looked like crap. But there are also stretchy plants like my Kush that all the branches made it up to the canopy to get light and produce bud. It would have to boil down to knowing your strains I guess, and I only really know one real good. Take a shot and cut some lower branches, start with two and next time do four?

I trained my plants to be under 6" tall when i started flowering so the canopy is very consistent. You game me an idea though. I plan to put 2 of each strain in the box every 2 weeks. I will remove some branching on one of each strain and compare the results. Thanks for the light bulb!

Hey ras was your Wonder Woman from Nirvana? If so could you give me some info on flowering that strain? I am looking for stretch info and also nute info. I have one about 17 in tall right now and I have a spot in my flower rooms but I am wondering if I should let her grow a lil more, but if she is real stretchy when switched to flower I don't want let her get too tall. Thanks bro! ;)
Yes, it is Nirvana. It seems to be rather stretchy but she spent the first 4 or 5 days of '12/12' under '24/0', so that is likely affecting things greatly one way or another. She is likely going to stretch more/longer than any of my earlier CCOBs due to that re-veg time.

I can't really comment on nutes either, except to say she showed the mag deficiency, caused by the chloramine in my water, earlier than the chronics did. She may be a bit more sensitive than other strains.

I have never pruned anything before. After getting a couple of my chronic CCOB cages to mid flower I have a better understanding of what will and won't be able to make the necessary stretch. I also want to let some light get through everything. I am basically pruning anything that is pointing down/below the canopy, and anything that is real thin and I don't think will produce or stretch enough, and trying to maintain an even canopy.

After seeing enough threads on here I have realized it is really hard to kill a plant so I lost my fear of pruning. I am just trying to do it in small stages, a little bit at time, and trying to not cut off any nodes much above the bottom 1/3 of the main meristem or above the bottom ring of my CCOB cage.

I will post some close ups when I post pics later. The WoW got re-trained a little bit today, but only enough to help spur the smaller/lower tops on to stretch higher. The Wembley got pruned a little but she didn't need any training as she is only a couple days into the stretch.

I'm growing wonder women too a friend gave me two seeds to try out. There pics of them on my profile under nirvana grow. So far they look good, growing four clones of it also.

I also had problems with the using a cloner, so i switched to dirt. I use a 50% fox farm happy frog and 50 % light warrior mix in a dixie cup with holes at the bottom. A must have is a little plastic grow dome like the one riddleme uses. Any rooting hormone will work i use hormex i think its called the red kind. Dip and plant that is all but don't take the lid off until the plants hit the roof of the doom. I have a 100% success rate using this method just don't open the cover until they hit the roof and make sure there is standing water in the tray with rooting hormone in it. Hit me up if you have any questions super easy method. Try it and you will not get one yellow leaf on any of your clones.
I built a few different cloners and didn't have good luck cloning bottom branches this winter. My understanding is the tops are harder to clone/root than the bottom branches. My seed germ > veg rate is about 95%+. My clone success rate is <1%. :dunce:

I will try to work our some new target dates tomorrow for the flower box, and veg box, and post some new estimated harvest dates.

I apologize in advance, if you have a slow internet connection.

Afghan Kush Special [AKS]: Germ'd 3/5 but the tap root didn't bite into the root riot. She was transplanted to pre-soaked pro mix yesterday and broke soil today. She starts veg tomorrow. :hump:

Sugar Black Rose: 11 Days Veg

Il Diavolo [Auto]: 12 days 18/6

White Widow: 19 days veg, bottom leaves showing Mg deficiency, so she got epsom salts like the rest of the bigger ones.

LSD: 29 days veg. Some of the new growth still shows Mg deficiency and I removed the dead first leaf. Luckily I got a few more seeds in inventory if she don't pull through.

Kannabia Special: 42 days veg, very tight node spacing.

'Kush': 38 days veg, probably the next one to get flowered, but I am undecided if I want to try and CCOB her or let her flower as is.

What's left of flower:

Wembley: Before and after pruning/training #2 pics.

Wonder Woman: Before and after pruning/training #2 pics.

This is what I am trying to avoid: No pruning and lazy training with CCOB at 47 days 12/12 (minus reveg).

Yer, live and learn. I might try one more CCOB on the Kush in veg, but if these ones dont work out I will quit trying that method. ShortBus gave it up for the same reasons. It requires careful pruning and training to work well. I am probably done pruning both of these ones now. I wish I had pruned the wonder woman first a bit earlier into flower, but she spent a lot of it under 24/0.

Yoyoyoy, what is the twisty material you are using to train the plants? Me likey.
Similar to this stuff, from my local grow shop. I ran out of the roll and asked em to get some more, and they get a longer, thinner roll, and suddenly the price is double the other stuff. Over-priced compared to some 12/1 solid core electrical wire but it has softer coating and is easier to bend. Basically a padded twist tie roll.

You ever think of useing pipe cleaners? Or maybe buying that shit online or at a Wal Mart and not pay the over markup at hydro stores.

I work online from home, 7 days a week. All of my income is from the web, so I try to spend as much of it as i can in my local community. It means I pay a premium for most things, but I don't care considering how bad our economy is here. The only things I buy online are seeds lately, and I rarely drive more than 3 or 4 miles from home for anything I need.

I would love to find a job online but it seems that most of them are scams! ;) I also like supporting the local community, but I won't support crazy markups on items at a hydro store! The one that I go to has very good prices, most of the shit there I can't even get it cheaper online! So I support those guys, but I have heard of hydro stores that are outragous on their prices.

I like all the plants you have in veg. I'm doing Kannabia Special and SBR on 12/12 from seed and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who got some fast growers.

I think I finally stopped the magnesium deficiency. :hump:

I started drowning the chronic scrog yesterday and she finally over-flowed her drowning bucket today. Another day or so under the lights then she goes in the dark for 3 days.

I did a little more training on the wembley and wonder woman in the early flower stretch today. I trimmed a couple more branches from the wonder woman, perhaps 1 more than I wanted to.

I also decided to throw a cage around the mystery 'kush' in veg and try something a little different. I am going to try and rotate the 2 meristems in the same rotational direction around the cage for a bit of a spiral, instead of making them rotate towards each other. I also did a little pruning in veg for the first time, to the same kush plant.

I am just gonna post a bunch of the pics from today, hopefully in the proper chronological order. I will section them off and add descriptions tomorrow, if necessary. It has been a long day.
