you dont think its okay to be hateful or unkind to them,
its okay to send them to eternal damnation just because they like the same sex? in your own words, you are wrong.
it is not your religious right to force your beliefs on others. by making it ILLEGAL for gays to be married, you are forcing your RELIGIOUS views on them.
heres a hypothetical situation: what if society was different, and being gay was the norm? would it be okay for them to tell you that you cannot marry a person of the opposite sex, simply because they dont like it? no! so why is it okay for you to do it to them?
you most definitely are the one hating... just because it is your belief, does not mean society as a whole believes it also. religious freedom is not an excuse for this
Ya wanna know what I really HATE?
I hate the fact that people like you make all kinds of assumptions and then spout off half-cocked as though you know the facts.
I am sending no one into eternal damnation. Actually, neither is the God I believe in, you're going there anyway if one doesn't do something about it....but that's another discussion.
It's already illegal in most states and federally. I am not making it illegal.
I suggest the compromise of civil unions.
I have not forced my belief on
ANYONE, AT ANY TIME.
Marriage laws have been what they are long before I had an opinion about this.
The religious factor about marriage has been established eyons before this day.
I am shunning nobody. Hell, I'll even go to their weddings and buy them a damn blender.
If you equate these beliefs with HATE, then you're a moron. I get real sick and tired of asshats trying to put that emotion where it isn't warrented. It's like saying if you don't agree with abortion, you just want women to die with coathangers up their twat, or if you don't like Obama or affirmitive action, you're a racist.
Painting these generalizations polarizes productive discussion and makes you look just as stupid as you're trying to paint me out to be. Give it up because it's dead wrong.
And really, captian obvious, I do believe I mentioned earlier that I understood that others disagree. And religious freedoms
are at stake here, in my opinion. I don't give a flat fuck if you don't think so any more than you do about
WHAT I believe.
And finally, at the end of the day....or month, or year.....I fully expect the laws to change and guess what? I will lose no sleep over it, and I'm willing to bet my life will go on as usual the day after it becomes legal.
I'll probably get to buy that blender when our gay neighbors next door to us invite us to their wedding....or civil union ceremony.
