What do you mean I want to avoid cloning a clone? A mother is just a plant that you select cause you like it more than the rest and then you just keep it in veg and take heaps of clones from it for ya grows...

Clones degrade down through generations. If I remember correctly it's some sort of DNA/RNA replication error that appears from over-cloning clones. You can't use one mother forever.. nor it's offspring.

Lol that takes ages dude. Ive known commercial growers who have kept same one going for quite a while. Like 5+ years. My plants at the moment are clones from clones from clones from clones. You guys worry to much about shit...

So does that mean its best to clone from a plant thats older and more developed? Will this method avoid the DNA/RNA replication defects?
Cal-mag def is either slowing or just spreading the spots over the whole plant. They look healthier, Ive got 3 leaves left that are a shit show, clipping those soon though. The rest of the leaves are either green or have very little signs of def (back to small rusty blotches in the leaves, Im finding leaves that dont receive enough light end up turning yellow and falling off themselves.)
Ps; I tried the "Marijuanna Plant Problems" thread too see what anyone else had to say about my def's in the plants. People were saying its nute burn, N-def, and then one guy asked if I was over-watering (in a hydro system, LOL). Like are some people on RIU ABSOLUTELY useless??

You'll notice if your clones degrade.. Some fan leaves will have two or three leaves ONLY.. your nugs might start to get smaller.. and in the worse case your strain will completely herm on you.
But like JJ said.. it takes awhile.. Maybe not five years but I'd say more than few generations because dispensaries sell F1 and F2 clones.. good luck trying to find a F3, they won't do it.

Plants show deficiencies when they're underfed, but overfeeding shows nute burn.

The leaf bullshit continues. Not getting better.... so I added 10 ML of cal-mag and 10 ML of Part B Sensi Grow (0-2-5 I think). The EC was 1.0 before I added the stuff. PH read 5.5 so I added a pinch of PH up powder and called it good. I turned my 2 CFLs off and mixed 1 part Anti-Wilt to 6 parts water for a foliar feed. Going to try to nipp this stuff in the butt. If my foliar feeds dont work Ill probably end up buying some "Oneness" or whatever that miracle all-in-one nute is.
Ill be buying insulated 6" diameter duct for the light. This as well as foil tape and clamps will complete the list and I can begin that setup. Going to ditch the idea of making a grow closet or grow room. I decided Ill invest in some lumber, hardware, and stain/paint. I wanna build my own stealth cabinets/dressors. The idea is that they will mimic either a dresser, desk, or cabinet. More too come on that in the future ^-^
