good info! this is how i usually can tell which clones are rooted first without having to mess with them much.

Nice nugs. Maybe try just leaning the dome off a little to one side when you start moving it next time. Sounds like those vents just let out too much air. I just prop up one corner of mine a little at a time. Great advice from Scrogladyte. Good luck man.

hey guys, i wanted to get you caught up.
ok, maybe i just suck at cloning. i'm not sure if i am watering too much or not watering enough or what. the plants are still yellow and still drooping. not all of them but about half. on some the roots look fantastic. on other they are not so good or not even really out of the rockwool. so confusing. the dome has been on the entire weekend. i only remove it for about 10-15 minutes each day just to get them some fresh air. i'm lost on what i am doing wrong.
i also niticed a white powdery or mildew substance on a few of the rockwool cubes. any ideas as to what this is?

That would be my guess nugs. Looks like mold or PM. Probably from the humidity.
Roots on those clones look great though. You can probably try leaning the dome off a little bit more everyday now. I think your plants will start to recover. Maybe just too much water; they look real yellow and thise Rockwool cubes look soaked. Let those things dry out to the touch. The inside always has moisture longer than the outside.

I fix my cool white tube to the ceiling and build a shelf to bring my mini greenhouse made from a clear plastic garbage bag up to the lights. I put a air/drain hole in the lowest corner and a single layer of gravel for various reasons.

so i went in the veg tent today and said FUCK IT!!!
i have plenty of viable clones on 4 different mothers and this is my first time around. why not experiment a little and see what is going on. if you remember i had 14 clones that survived out of the original 22 i took. so, i took the 10 best of these clones and transplanted them to 4" grow blocks that had been soaking in in a 125ppm clonex solution. these 10 had significant root growth and some looked like they were getting too long. there were one or two that seemed to be suffering from the humid environment because the roots looked a little brownish. a few of the plants even looked like they were getting burnt tips. then i threw one of the plants in some soil and put it outside. she looked like shit so i figured i would give her some soil and put her out to pasture. that left me with 3 clones that had really no root development below the rockwool. i left them in them in the humidity dome but will not be giving them any water anytime soon. i think i watered too much so i am going to push them to the limit. then i took 10 more clones off my moms; put them in rockwool cubes soaked in 150ppm clonex solution. kept the cubes as square as they could be and really shook them out. i also left the plastic on this time cause the other ones looked like the roots that were coming out of the side of the rockwool were being auto pruned. misted these girls before puttting them under the dome and then stuck them under the light. i quarantind the 3 i had left in the tray to the other side of it. went from 2 lights to 4 lights on my t5 setup for the girls i put into 4" blocks. watered my moms afterward because they were dry again. the pots were super light. because of the claw on my 2 cheese plants i watered them with just ph water. last time i gave the power plant ones 4L and the cheese ones 3L. this time around it was 3 and 2. those cheese plants don't seem to like too much water. anyway, i'm fucking experimenting!!!

hey FAB, looks like your fungi is spreading to my clonining station. haha. why not keep the plastic on the rockwool? what problems have you run into? someone told me to do this cause they said it shiels the roots on the side more from light and that it helps to keep the cube moist. i see that it's about 50/50 between guys that do and those that don't.

Yes, hydroton is good. There are a few to pick from so I call it gravel. It's an effort to help prevent PM. It's a must if your mom is a seed plant.

I find the best practice is to not allow the plant to come in contact with plastic. I cut 2"x2"xh cubes from slab. I color code with colored thumb tacks so I know what breed it is. White for rhino, blue for blueberry, green for skunk, red for the mexican and so on

same here, and i put block covers on them as well. keeps the green and white nasties from getting on them

I like the block covers too. Rockwool will hold the moisture in longer and like DrGreen said it keeps the "nasties" away. Plus, it's a little extra reflection of the light back to the underside of the leaves.

hey guys, i need some help. i just don't know what's going on. couple different problems with almost all of the plants. i'll lay it out for you guys.
here are my moms. i took out all of the LST stakes last night. i wanted to let them grow vertically for a while. i was thinking that if i can't get this cloning thing down then i am going to flower these and start some new seeds to see if i can't fix my issues. anyway, they look good for the most part but the 2 cheese plants are getting the claw thing again and one of them has some yellowing on the leaves. i fed them just ph's r/o water this last time around. i thought the clawing might have been from too much nitrogen but since i only used water last time why is it still happening? i also gave them less water then the time before. only 2 liters for the smaller plants. i am lost on this one and any help would be appreciated.
here are the clones that i moved out of the dome and into 4" rockwool blocks. i soaked the blocks in a real light (150ppm) clonex solution and then drained them really well before dding the clones. i didn't have any mylar or anything else so i just added tinfoil on top of the blocks. i haven't watered them since i transplanted them or anything. they aren't under the dome and they are about 4" from 4 t5 bulbs. i don't think heat is the problem but i don't know. they were yellow under the dome so what is keeping them this way. a few of them even have burn on the leaves. this happened before the transplant so i think i watered them too much with the clonex solution. could it be that the blocks they are in just has too much water?
here are the 3 clones that i left under the dome. i spotted a root for one of them but the others seem to have shut down. what could be causing this? is it too much heat inside the dome with those 4 t5 bulbs? i haven't watered them in a while either.
finally, here are the latest clones that i took. they have been under the dome for a 4-5 days now. i haven't watered them and only misted the dome a little the other day. they are starting to droop a little. not sure what is going on but the rockwool cubes are still moist. how do they look to you guys? no roots showing yet and everything is still green but you can see some slight yellowing, drooping, and what looks like a little clawing.

you should consider getting or making a cloning bucket...read about them...or if you just want to stick with what your doing, before you place the clone in teh rockwool, let the cubes soak over night and then squeeze them a tiny bit when ready to place the cuttings in. take the cuttings and swirl them in cloning gel(root inducing formula) and then slide them in the cubes. place them in the humidity dome with heat mat set to 78-85 F. do not water for about a week...you want the cubes to dry out almost completly to get those roots to grow(no water? roots will find some, so they will grow, its their job) Make sure your PHing your water to arounf 5.8.
