Don't forget your wifes credit card !!
Id like to take issue with the premise here...if its his wifes credit card, then it's his credit card too, it's kinda how it works in grown up relationships.

If you wanna do anything call him a loser treadmill salesman or something as equally "creative" (as the example given seems to be in the range of the limit of your abilities), but stop sticking to stupid points like "wife's credit card".

Just outta interest, does constantly wearing the bicycle helmet make it;
A. substantially more difficult
B. slightly more difficult
C. no difference
D: balloon animals

to lick a window?

geologists?

LOL!

you failed to mention some of the less flattering "scientists".

hottest decade on record. we recently had the hottest year on record, despite solar irradiance being at a lull.

you got nothing. you've got the same people who went out there and tried to say that smoking doesn't cause cancer. technically true, but it ignores the grandiose correlation between smoking and cancer.

it's settled science. we are having an effect on our climate.

not in ours.

we always have and always will keep our finances separate.

granted, our finances may cross paths at times. for example, and this WILL piss gayroscope off, i gave my wife the chance to invest in my treadmill business this year.

the deal is that she pays for the $150 worth of treadmill soil and if all goes according to plan, she gets a quarter pound of treadmills.

she never hesitated to invest. i wouldn't hesitate at that deal either.

translation, NO U!

yes there are some geologists, paleo-climatologists, mathematicians, meteorologists and more and more and more and more from all different disciplines. why the disdain for geologists? are sedimentary rock strata no longer representative of our planet's past? what about the ice cores, and tree cores, and deep water sediment cores?

Youre right bro, i aint got shit personally, cuz im just a farm boy, not a PHD candidate or scientician. but it seems those scientists got plenty. I listen to cats with degrees in Science (even marine biology) before those with degrees in political theory, psychology (as opposed to Psychiatry, which is real science) or economics (NOT a Science, more like a religion or a cult) or political pundits on CNN MSNBC or random partisan potheads on the interwebs.

also, thats a nice lookin green house homey. what mil visquine you using? i tried this weird cell formed plastic sheeting stuff a few years ago, but it just grew algae and moss in the cells. that shit doesnt work worth shit

i prefer to listen to climatologists with peer-reviewed work on the subject. to them it seems to be a matter of how much we are responsible for our effects on the earth, not if we are having an effect.

anyhoo. it's 3.5 mil. only meant to last a year. the whole thing will be disassembled and thrown into the fire pit come november. i only rent for now.

edit: the plastic will be disposed of, not burnt. my half assed attempt to be "green", lol.

Yeah, see how seperate they are if she was to disappear and the credit card company came looking for the spouse to pay it off ;)

You should keep the treadmill money seperate tho, tax man can smell those treadmill dollars a mile away.

which is precisely why we keep our finances strictly separate, especially on the uncle sam forms. no need for me endanger her wealth.

So you believe everything our government tells you?

Marijuana causes:

Black men to like jazz and rape white women.

Has no medicinal use.

Causes cancer and emphysema.

Is a gateway drug.

Makes you lazy.

Makes you stupid.

Increases crime.

Only bad people and losers use it.

Smoking one joint is more harmful than over a pack of cigarettes.

Harms our kids.

Behavioral changes don't last once you quit.

The dosage is unpredictable.

Marijuana of today is a million times more potent.

All that is said by the same government scientists who claim the earth is getting colder, no wait it's hotter, no no no it gets colder first because the ice caps melt and then it gets hotter. That's it!

All these scientists get money from the government to say global warming colding change exists in order to charge illegal taxes to save the environmentt from the big bad CO2 green house gases. Even though the ocean beats us by several magnitudes. It's all human's fault! Just like marijuana employs private prisons.

Naw, that can't be. Government is my friend! I need it for all the free handouts. What would I do without it? I'd be on the street getting overheated and attacked by psycho marijuana addicts and those on even worse drugs which it's a gateway to. Fuck, I'm converting to a greenie liberal right this second. Do you all forgive me?

Im a cheap bastard so i woulda made it modular so you can take it apart and stow it in the shed, barn, garage or whatever then re-assemble it in a new location later. if i had a bit more space i might fit one of those in my yard too. truth be told, if you let the plastic sit in the sun for a few seasons it will break down into water co2 and nitrogen. very few modern plastics contain the ptfe and pcb chemicals that make old plastic immortal.

On the topic of global warming, interesting little factoid, if all the free-floating ice regions were to melt sea levels wouldn't increase at all, because it's free floating and already displaces its entire mass in the water.

Beware Greenland and the Antarctic I say!

I don't believe those bible thumper lies. Don't try to fool me with those fake scientific sounding sound bites. I believe real scientists like linguist Noam Chomsky and futurist Michio Kaku.

Marijuana causes:

Black men to like jazz (and me too) and rape white women (*mumbles incoherently and looks shifty)

Has no medicinal use. officially.

Causes cancer and emphysema. so does broccoli and the stuff they put in microwave popcorn for the fake butter flavour.

Is a gateway drug. gateway to FUN and doritos.

Makes you lazy. two words: couch lock.

Makes you stupid. huh?

Increases crime. well it is illegal isnt it...

Only bad people and losers use it. looking around this forum... yep.

Smoking one joint is more harmful than over a pack of cigarettes. to your wallet!
Harms our kids. when they cant use the carb on the bong

Behavioral changes don't last once you quit. what? yes no fuck you im a dragon! wheres my sweater?

The dosage is unpredictable. and so is the harvest.

Marijuana of today is a million times more potent
. than industrial hemp

its all in the weasel words, just like anthropogenic global climate change... many weather stations which were once in remote rural areas are now in the center of suburban sprawl and the heat islands they create, invariably marking increasing temps across the board, while the stations which are still remote stay pretty much the same.

long running trends and fluctuations are discarded for the shocking story of short term changes in a system so vast only the sun has the power to change the figures in the span of a century.

the global climate fools always ignore the medieval warm period, numerous ice ages both great and small, and the interstitial warmings between them. all these took place long before the industrial era.

its profitable, and gives the believers the illusion of control. they like to believe they can change the world, like they were promised in school. the sad truth is, we are just bit players in a system so vast we cant make a dent even if we all pull together.

i don't feel so bad now about the plastic.

and actually, i forgot what my plan really was: cut the plastic into strips and lay it over the veggie garden once the season is over for weed control.

it only cost me about $400 total to build the GH, it will pay itself back. and i love me a good fire.

and what about all the ice and snow pack on land?

farmers in california are already experiencing water shortages partially due to ever decreasing melts each year. they blame congress, even have fancy signs and all. they never mention that they knew they were last in line for the water when they signed up. farmers on the east side of the san joaquin valley sell their water to the fools on the west side who signed up last.

many tobacco farmers use black plastic or tar paper sheeting between their rows to prevent weeds and channel overflow away from their tobacco. clear plastic wiont prevent much weed growth, but it will promote fungal growth, as well as algae and moss and shit. unless your real far north, you can tent your tomatoes and keep them frost free and producing through most of the winter with clear plastic. or better still, set another crop to flower in winter by vegging through the autumn indoors and planting them in your greenhouse after your sept/oct harvest. get you anither crop off that thing before it goes down.

tell that to mongolian cattle herders. they can no longer use their ages old indicators and predictors.

The couple also complains of changing rainfall patterns. Goulden says he hears this often—that instead of gentle, light rains that might last for two or three days, the region these days mostly gets short downpours. He says locals call these “rains that don’t wet,” but that instead run off into creeks, leaving behind dry soil and poor grass.
The herders say this is a huge problem. “If the grass is not growing well,” Hurelchuluun asks, “then what the animals will eat? If the animals die, what’s the future for us?”
It’s a common lament, Goulden says. He says herders also complain that it’s gotten harder to predict the weather. They used to be able to forecast and prepare for conditions by watching things like how smoke moved away from stoves pipes, what field mice stored away in autumn, or whether ibex moved to summits or valleys in winter.
But Goulden says these omens don’t work anymore. “The weather has become much more unpredictable,” he says, “so it’s much more difficult for them to anticipate what the next winter might be”

http://pulitzercenter.org/reporting/mongolia-climate-change-global-warming-nomad-pastoral-herders

this is why i prefer the term "anthropogenic climate destabilization" rather than "global warming" or "climate change". one would have to be a fool to think that the activities of man do not have some degree of effect on the earth and her climate.

my plan was to keep the plastic in place by covering it with soil from indoor grows, discarded hay from the birds, and the like. if it doesn't work, it;s the next resident's problem to deal with.

many central valley farmers due to their shitty soil management are unable to get a crop from their land thats worth more than the water rights they can sell to los angeles or san diego. many other farmers do quite well, even if the govt (as it has been) reduce their water allotment to promote the ecology of water snails and "vernal pools" (thats a fancy way of saying stagnant pools of seasonal rainwater for mosquito larvae) and increased allotments for urban water districts.

this year's snowpack and melt is way higher than the yearly average for the last 50 years, yet still farmers will only receive 40% of their allotment in the central valley. its not for environmental reasons that farmers get less water, its because each gallon of water makes more tax money in an urban water district than off a farm. the government is doing a short term accounting program and destroying long term agricultural economic viability with their short sighted foolishness.
