Since it's that bad, I suggest you give it water only for a while. The nutes crustified your babies bad huh? Split stems can be overcome.I have to do something....unless my stem cracking and showing green is a good thing
Thanks man....I appreciate the insight...not a lot of coco growers here but the few guys I have found on here are great and they pretty much say the same thing you are.hi bkstyls
i think your problem is nute burn. i'm a first time grower and i'm growing in coco too. the first 4 seedlings i planted, i nuted at about week 2 and it KILLED them. looked exactly like your plants, yellowing on older leaves, brown spots from the tips progressing in, stunted growth. so, i planted another seed, and DIDNT NUTE IT AT ALL - guess what, its FOUR TIMES bigger at week 3. at least. and looks healthy as buggery. a lot of guys on icmag.com say dont nute till week 3-4 AT ALL then bring it in gradually, i think they're right. plant a couple more seeds, dont nute, and compare - tell me what u think at week 3
I have two cool mist humidifiers. Thanks UserFriendly...my hygrometer says I have low humidity. I should probably invest in a small humidifier
Ideally you would want one with an adjustable humidistat. I just got the Sunbeam.recommend any?? especially for a tent.
I mean a controller that will shut your humidifier down before RH gets too high..... http://www.wormsway.com/detail.asp?sku=ATC602well I have a humidistat on my hygrometer...I should have an additional one??
I am looking at some of these one gallon humidifiers as I need as small as possible.
